"Why not just leave the bass as it is? Because its not where I want it to be in the mix" I like that!

Thank you for making these videos! I have watched a few of them all the way through and I love how you explain everything in the MPC. I've been using the MPC live 2 for a few months now and these videos have been very helpful. I recently purchased a tascam model 24 mixer to record the MPC Live 2 with my other synths. Do you have any other videos or can reccomend any material on using an analog/digital set up for recording, mixing and mastering? Thanks!

Hey buddy. I don’t specifically have any videos with the Tascam but there are probably some useful tips in my other videos you could apply to your workflow. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.

Interesting. Nice to see how far we can go w the MPC. Intriguing use of the AIR Noise Gate.

Stumbled across your channel today. Some amazing information here! I have had the MPC for 18 months, mostly for house, so really nice to see and hear how I can utilise the FX and chaining more effectively. 👍

Awesome stuff with very valuable bits in there. I'm one of those freaks who wants to overprocess bass and I mean * absolutely destroy * the sound to get maximum funk out of it and then just duck it when the kick hits. Right now I'm looking into producing some organic house/techno and this tutorial helps a lot, with the way more subtle basslines of the genre.

It’s not something I’d reach for every time but the bass was a little noisy in this case and I thought it would be good to show people that it’s an option. Thanks for watching dude.

Nice stuff here. If you’re gonna go with the best bass guitar, definitely make it Bernard Edwards!

Man this is golden. I like to record live bass into my MPC X all the time! Speaking of audio tracks, do you know if it’s possible to bounce tracks in the MPC, like the old school way? I was thinking of work arounds for the limitations of 8 tracks.
@TheCratesMotel
@TheCratesMotel Жыл бұрын
Hey man, thanks for watching. Do you mean bounce an audio track to a pad? Yeh you can do that. I’m not in front of my Mpc but I’ve definitely bounced several harmony vocal tracks to a single pad before.
@TheCratesMotel

It’s actually a great idea for a video.
@leogolive
@leogolive Жыл бұрын
Well I was actually talking about bouncing say audio tracks 1-7 to audio track 8, clearing up tracks 1-7 to record more music on. But actually your way may be better because unless I’m stupid I haven’t found a way to mute audio tracks the same way you can mute the other tracks or pads. You’re right that would be a great video👍🏾
@TheCratesMotel

@@leogolive hmm it would be useful to bounce audio to audio too though. I’ll look into it.

Hello Mate , just a quick one I put my 3 minute sample song into the sample wave editor for chopping I set the slices to region I then set it to 64 slices I then convert it to the pads Lovely jubbly 😊 My question is , is there a way to save every 64 pad "samples" that was chopped 🤔 into a new folder on the hard drive as separate samples ? Rather than saving as chopped program markers Cheers mate
@TheCratesMotel
@TheCratesMotel Жыл бұрын
Hey buddy, yes sure. When you go into the convert page from Chop, you can scroll clockwise to "New Program with New Samples". That will make new samples from each slice.

@TheCratesMotel Hey there CM I did what you said , but I still cant do it There's no clear start to finish videos on KZbin help There was 2 ways I tried to save Step 1: I went to pencil ✏️ icon on the main sample progame ...... then I "Save Sample" But all that did was just save the 3 minute wave file sample and not the individual sample chops Step 2 : I held shift and save to see if that would work but that only saved a xpj file I also tried to look around the sample wave editor but no joy there All I'm trying to do is save the chopped individual samples in a folder on my memory card I know I must be doing it wrong and I know there must be a way to do it , I'm just not knowleged enough on the Akai .

@@simcitybigworldmedia Ok. So let's get a sample in Sample Edit. Go into Chop - Regions - set it to how many regions you want (this also works whichever way you choose to chop a sample) - Hold down Shift - Convert - Scroll with data wheel to new program with new samples - make sure Crop samples and create new program is checked - Do it. If you now check your Sample Assign window to see your sample pool you will see that you have created small chops as their own samples. Maybe you didn't have Crop samples ticked in the Convert window. I just tried it to double check it works and it worked if you follow that exact procedure. Let me know if you have any issues.
