I like the new mpc line, but it’s pretty much a dealbreaker to me that the different note repeat buttons are on the touch screen. Feels very sluggish. I also don’t really like the touch screen period. That’s one of the main reasons I downgraded to an mpc studio black. However the buttons on the MPC ONE looks really nice.

J.G Wetworth Well, the main Elektron guy is a highly creative musician demonstrating very creative instruments, he shows a lot of the potential of the gear. I consider these new MPCs very creative instruments, but these Akai demo guys make these paint by number demos that almost makes you embarrassed to buy their gear. I’ve heard more interesting record skips than that stuff. Unbelievable really.

What were you using? Because I came from FL studio and got both the ONE and X and it was pretty easy converting. I will say this, most of the internal FX in these new MPCs are better than most of the stock FX in. FL studio. I'd say it took me about a week to develop a solid work flow and get my first full beat mixed / mastered. This was after doing a bunch of playing around with things just to get the hang of navigating. The only thing I wish they had in these things was a spectrum analyzer. Doesn't ever have to be a great one. Just something to give us a general visual representation of what's going on in our mixes. But then these things already do a lot so that's just a minor inconvenience. Other than that, I have no complaints whatsoever. I was literally about to pull the trigger on the FL all plugin bundle until I seen a review on the MPC ONE. I week later I pre-ordered it and when I realized I wouldn't get it for 3 months I went ahead and ordered the X just so I could have it faster. I figure the ONE will come in handy for when I have to go places since the X is too damn big and bulky to travel with. One thing that has been changed on all but the X is the Q links now have a pop-up when tweaked that lets you know what it's controlling. Don't need that with the X because there's OLED screens below each knob that says what it's affecting.

I hear that mpc has a long learning curve vs native instruments mashine pad, thoughts anyone?
@mpctv.musicproductioncultu19824 жыл бұрын
I'll let you know this from experience! If you're coming from a sampling background then it doesn't get any easier than the MPC!!! But now I appreciate that Akai recognizes that the hardware & software combo is very important too the old & new producers! I think they finally got it going in the right direction with the stand alone option & the ability to use software at the same time!!! It's the best of both worlds. It's things I like and dislike about both. But if I was starting out now I would want the option of that equal work flow that Akai is bringing to the table now. You can save yourself alot of time and get the most bang for your $ with this stand alone/software controller option!!! I wish it was like that when I 1st started cause I would have saved alot of $!(LoL)💯

@@mpctv.musicproductioncultu1982 Not quite true. I owned an mpc 1000 and sold it to obtain a maschine. The workflow of the maschine is much more faster than an mpc. You dont have to stop the maschine/track to do anything as opposed to an mpc. I would say if you're new to sampling go with the native instruments maschine. It's much more straight forward.
