It has some much better sounds than those demonstrated here. With the built in speaker it is very convenient to pick up and play without messing with leads. It can be used with any of the cheap wireless guitar systems to an amplifier if you don't want to use leads.

Hello from Arizona, I saw a video of an Akai Solo EWI that had a wireless mic velcroed to the instrument that plugged into the 1\4" jack on the EWI to send to the DAW, any suggestions?

Hello. I wanted to ask because I would like to give myself a gift and buy Ewi solo. I just don't know, because there is also an ewi 5000 version and I'm wondering which one to choose. Is the solo better, has more functions and fingerings than the ewi 5000. What is the difference between both models? Regards.

Former clarinet player, but I've found playing the EWI C sharp note to be difficult and troublesome. Any advice you have?

You can transpose it to have any note as the base note, assuming you mean the c# that plays when no fingers are in the keys
