I love how the samplers and synths from old Akai sounds similar, that is just ... nice, isnt it ?

I experience equal parts of joy at your feels and despair when comparing them to my feels when I listen to your videos but I must let the joy win!!! And I've been noodling for ten years or so on decent gear. Another big fan!

Bill Hicks, what a hero, rest in peace. I was surprised with the versatility of this synth too, a rare forgotten powerhouse of sorts, owners of these should consider themselves lucky, good thing some of them ended up with talented people ;)

Hey, I have one of those :) I love how the marriage of analog filters and digital control works *kinda*, and you have to recalibrate the occilators every time you want to use it. Sounds amazing! But a lot of work to get familiar with the interface to get to its full potential.
@simonsorensen54057 жыл бұрын
Hey there, Theo. Would you be interested in selling it? Best, Simon

@Pacman1ac Remember that this was typical 80's stuff. AKAI went with others with this style / user interface hype and replaced all knobs with buttons and a slider. Now adays manufacturers know little better what we want.. . . KNOBS. No matter which synthesis is in question. I have used hardware SYSEX controller to edit TX81Z sounds and experience was hugely improved, it was pure joy to create sounds! And soundwise VX600 is actually surprisingly good.. better than many other 80's poly.

these go for pretty high prices nowadays. i believe it has the same filter chips as an oberheim expander. it sounds insane and powerful in any way but is a very bitch to program and at times unreliable

+Ammer Reduron pretty silly comment, these things are meant to be like the expander, nothing like a timbre wolf x

+Ammer Reduron haa, fair doos, the wolfy is probably the worst synth ever, peas x
@desktorp9 жыл бұрын
+Ammer Reduron might as well call it the inMusic Timbre Wolf or the Numark Timbre Wolf since Akai hasn't really been Akai since 1999. You know Lord Jexus could demo a Timbre Wolf and make you want one.
@desktorp9 жыл бұрын
+Ammer Reduron gotta say I love that I scrolled down and found another comment from you 4 years ago. You are a kindred spirit. Cheers brother.
