So the past week I've been busting it at work listening to some of my favourite artists, going back through some of most raw UK content of the past 15 years... and KZbin started to suggest these reaction videos to me. I've watched dozens of Americans react to UK artists now. Compared to some other clowns on here I love your reactions, Akala is the epitome of a modern day griot.. if you know you know. I had the privilege of working with Akala on tours, a little about myself I've been a big hip-hop head for over half my life and nothing but reading and learning life like this man has. When I say this guy is on another dimension, he really is. When him and similar artists started to make a name for themselves they had serious positive influence on a generation of people, more than I believe they actually realise. Big up yourself, shame you don't have a bigger sub count.

Akala's knowledge of world history is impeccable, "I'm the coldest on the road since admiral Zheng He", a very very small percent of the population know about the voyages and initial trade routes made by admiral Zheng all the way to Africa. (Irrelevant to this video) Now we see so much trade and infrastructure building between China and Africa and the western powers are trying to paint the image not to trust china. The Chinese treasure fleet, whose ships were 8 times larger than the voygage ships of columbus, made contact to Africa centuries before the colonial powers and DID NOT invade but instead shared technology of that era and traded goods. And so history proves to Africa they need not worry of ulterior motives by the Chinese to overtake or exploit their country.

Just watched all your Akala FITB reactions, I literally can listen to him all day long! Yours is one of the best akala reactions mate keep it up. This FITB is different I would say compared to his others but you can tell he's influenced in this one by the album he was working on at the time called Thieves Banquet, which is epic!
