Classic track. This was my introduction to Akala 15 years ago (followed by FITB Part 1). Someone had posted both videos in an “Inspirational Conscious Music” thread on the official Zeitgeist Movement forum. I listened/watched both back-to-back - became an instant fan and dove head-first into the wonderful world of Akala (all his music, books, lectures, etc). Best conscious rapper of all time in my opinion. And I say that as someone who’s been listening to rap since I was 7 back in the 80’s. Chuck-D & KRS-One were among the best conscious rappers of the time, but Akala is the one I’d been waiting my whole life for.
