I go to Vidcon every year and I'm so obsessed with it that I frequently search for videos and posts about it in the months between cons, just to see/hear others talk about it XD It doesn't have a lot to offer small to mid-level creators like me BUILT INTO THE CON (it did in the early years, but for the past decade at least it's been primarily about the mega-famous and their adoring fans). But it's still so exciting to be around other people who make or at least watch online content--it's surprisingly hard to find that in my local area, especially as a millenial or older. I always make a point of striking up conversations with random people there, and generally have a good time. Of course it wasn't always that way--I used to be very sulky and jealous that I wasn't "famous" yet, and resentful that the con offered nothing substantial for others like me. But I've matured past that and reached the realization that "vidcon is what you make of it," and as long as you have the willingness to be friendly and engaging, you can make your own fun. Great video! (If I can offer one tip that you're free to disregard, it was pretty hard to hear you over the sounds of the car engine 😅perhaps you could get a lavalier mic, or film future videos while parked? Like I said feel free to disregard my advice, just wanted to offer it as something to possibly consider improving!)

Also, I would add to the point of sightseeing while in Anaheim for vidcon, disneyland is RIGHT next to the convention center, only a block's walk away, so if you can extend a day to your hotel to visit, you can! (disneyland tickets are crazy expensive, but that's another story entirely 😅) I was born and raised in San Diego, and my dad worked for Disneyland when I was younger, so I had gone a lot back then. It's very different now (I STILL can't wrap my head around disney owning star wars AND marvel 😵‍💫) but if you've never been and can afford it, it's worth checking out. In earlier vidcon years, they even called it "disney day," and sometimes had discounts through the vidcon website for disney tickets. they don't really do that anymore and you're unlikely to run into any large creators there (they all go in private parties at midnight during one of the con days instead 😏) but you can find other entry-level con goers to talk to, it's pretty fun!

*Not much of a Disney Guy TBH, I'm more of a Beach kinda guy just I avoid Santa Monica as I visited it when I went to Vidcon in 2019 but New Port is more my thing as it's closer to where I used to live but I take it your also attending Vidcon this year?*
