Thanks for clearing that up. My current number is 6, but I've skipped a whole generation after the 360 after getting a PS4. When I finally got a Series X, I still had my profile and points, but my number was rolled back to 6. Not a big deal since all my achievements are mostly intact, but I do miss going through my full history and seeing what I was playing at certain points in my life.

What do you mean when you say your achievements are "mostly intact"? Were you offline when you last played before switching to playstation? Because your achievements don't just delete themselves if you recorded them while connected to the internet. Also your year doesn't get rolled back, it stays static until you pick it up again. If you had 6 years and 100 days, when you come back you'll roll over to 6 years 101 days.

@@UncleLee87 My oldest achievement that i can view on my profile is from 2007. I believe that i had achievements and an account prior to 2007 but they obviously are not all listed whenever they occurred because my achievement score is much higher than the total of all the points shown in my achievement history meaning some are clearly not accounted for either prior to 2007 or between then and today. However, my gamertag is 14 characters long which is 2 more than the 12 characters i'm allowed to use to make a new gamertag, so i kept my original just for that veterancy

Dang I’m up to 12 right now. It would be cool if they added some stats page similar to something you’d see in a game that shows like the overall time played, when your account was made, etc. they could even do something similar to what destiny 2 did where it showed your whole destiny 1 history at the start, but instead with stuff like unlocking hard achievements or old game clips. I think that would be really awesome

I kinda assumed thats what the number represented. For a long time I played on Xbox since 2005 but I hopped on and off gold since I couldn’t really afford the monthly payments but I guess between some time periods I didn’t pay it and it didn’t track the periods I didn’t have gold since I only have 12 years on my profile.

I always thought it was a chronological anniversary, but it baffled me because I got my Xbox 360 in April 2012 and today it still shows "9". It makes sense now because early on I did let my Gold sub lapse.

I'm curious, I joined Xbox Live on my 360 back in 08 as a teenager playing games with my online buddies and such but when 2010 came around a tragic event came into my life and I wasn't on XBL as a goldmember as regularly up until I wanna say 2015. I was a silver member in between those years. ATM I'm a silver member as well. Either way, my question is when I become a gold member again pretty soon, will I get the years added to my profile cause right now I don't have them(Cause I'm a silver member).

Kinda sucks that the number only progresses of you have a consistent billing cycle. I've been playing on my of account since the 360 launched and my number doesn't reflect the real amount of years I've been active because I mostly bought cards for a while instead of automatic renew.

I've only changed my gamertag once but my Tenure badge has always been bugged. I made my account on December 25th, 2015 and have had either Gold or GPU the whole time and it has only ever read as "3". Now it's gone completely...

I’ve noticed that everyone who got the 20 year badge in 2022 hasn’t gone past the 20 year mark. Does that mean the badge is capped at 20? Because people who are below 20 are still moving up every year.

Huh that's interesting. Mine is four, although it just recently showed up after buying the 14 day trial of Game Pass Ultimate for a $1. It's really odd seeing it since I had been on and off my 360 and current XBox One since 2009. For sure not a rumor about losing the tenure. I was active from 2010-2013 and then from 2016 until current and it's only showing 6

That’s because it only counts for when you were paying for Gold (now called Gamepass core) So if you’ve gone years without paying for Gold then those years wouldn’t count on your tenure.

If you change your name everything will stay the same, except the name of course. No other issues with gamerscore or account purchases and all that stuff.

The only for sure glitch I’m aware of is some people might be one year off. I had it happen to me back in 2010 when they made a change and it affected the tenure of some users.
