Tip: Use the housing instead of the tripod adapter and zip ties. It allows the camera to be much more secure and allows you to easily remove it. It also uses less parts which makes it more compact and less complicated. If you need sound, use the other door with the housing. The waterproof housing won't move or unscrew like the tripod adapter either.

Note: keep the cable tie a little loose. I'm talking about the one that wraps around the camera and mount to keep the camera from falling out. I made mine a little too tight so the case activated the shutter button. This put the camera in a bad state which could only be remedied by removing and reinserting the battery. Took me two hours to figure that out.

Hello. Just purchased one of these cameras. Can you please confirm, is the case waterproof with both types of backdoors that come with it? In your video you detach one back door that appears watertight for a backdoor that has two slits in it - hence my concern. Thanks

I ended up taking this to Hawaii last week and took the risk with the original case and tried it while I snorkeled, and it worked! No water got in, pictures turned out and camera survived 😂. I did try it in the sink first as a sanity check before diving into the ocean haha. Worked for me but try at your own risk !

I can’t even find a computer with an SD slot anymore so I’m hoping I won’t need one and can just upload direct to my phone and share my photos/ videos that way?? Thank you so much for this video. However, you can still easily upload your photos and videos directly to your phone using the "AKASO GO" mobile app or a phone card reader. This way, you can easily share your content with others. I must have gotten the wrong model of that black case (called "Clip 1" at 0:42) bc mine seems just barely too small for the camera. When I squeeze the camera in to get it snug in the case it seems like there's not quite enough room for it and sometimes it even pops out! I'm enjoying the camera but I would not trust the case to hold it in for stuff like biking or running with it on my chest, even with the zip tie. 🙃

I just received my EK7000 and I'm trying to unbox it, but mine is mounted backward on the top of the box compared to the one in the video. I can't wait to try it out, but I really don't want to break anything, and I can't seem to get it to budge very much without applying A LOT of pressure.

No need to change the door usually. The one shown in the video has two holes to let sound in. If you need the waterproof feature, it's best not to modify the door.

I would also consider attaching a float in vivid color so if you do lose it it floats to the top and you can find it.

I bought this camera for open water swimming so I am not mounting to anything. Not sure how to use it while swimming or even how you recommend strapping to a wrist. As it is a waterproof camera, that info would be very helpful! You also need to update the video regarding the 2 backs to the camera so we doing flood the compartment.

Hi, if you want to use it underwater I suggest you buy a wrist mount or a floating hand grip to hold the camera in place.

Followed the instructions on this video for how to install the camera to the waterproof case. In the video the back door with the slits is used so I followed suit. Within seconds the camera was flooded with water, should I have used the original back door?

Yes, if you want it to be waterproof, please use the original back door. The door with holes will allow sound to be recorded but not waterproof.

It is REALLY hard to get it off the plastic part of the box. Had to get a very strong person to help and he cut his thumb open. Just know you have to apply a lot of strength.

Honey I'm sorry this happened. When removing it from the box you can remove the waterproof case first. Then lift the clips and pull the base backwards. It's actually quite simple. But this video was taken a long time ago. We'll be updating it again soon with a new video to make it easier to understand.

An NGV mount could be a better option. However, the sticky mount included in the package can also work well for your helmet.
