I think that this is what truly upset Rivers, not that Matt started The Rentals it’s such a shame that it didn’t work out, because he was the glue that kept them together. We’ll never hear anything quite like what the original Weezer was able to produce. Matt provided so much to the band that it’s not even Weezer without him. It’s like Mike Dirnt leaving Green Day or Flea leaving RHCP
