How about to use these for singing and monitoring myself ?
@TopSpecMedia4 жыл бұрын
Great question! I've used them with my focusrite 2i2 and AT2020 for direct monitoring and I think they work great. The first time I plugged my digital piano into the 2i2 and used the k240's for direct monitoring I thought I messed something up because the audio was so crystal clear, accurate, and free of latency that I thought the sound was still coming out of the speakers. Whenever I want to mess with my friend's minds I put them in that exact situation and they don't believe the sound is coming out of the headphones until they take them off :). The only concern I'd express to you is the fact that these headphones are semi-open, so a bit of audio will leak. As long as you don't set them to the max volume and your mic/interface has a gain knob you should be able to adjust it so your mic won't pick up the headphones. - Aaron

@@TopSpecMedia can I use these headphones for gaming
@thankyouverymochi3 жыл бұрын
@@KebabSinan yes, but there are better headset for gaming. this headphone doesn't have a mic since it's studio intended headphone. and the bass is not boosted, and it's a semi-open headphone (let air from outside pass through headphone), so if you play pubg, the step might not sound as apparent as if you use a well-isolation headphone.

I've had a pair of these for 8 years just to listening to music and they are still great. I've had to replace the cables and earpads but these will certainly last forever.

Yeah, mine actually broke (not by my fault) but they are genuinely good, I had them for around 5 years or so, cable showed it's lifespan that's for sure, I'm thinking of getting a new pair now after a couple years, should I or are there better alternatives for the same buck and just as good or even better?

k240 are very sensitive to the music soure like amp/dac/cables/how they recorded the music, at the end of the day they can sound "high end" or "lo fi" but is not the fault of the headphones, is how they are amplified

I just bought a pair of these for music editing and am disappointed. I feel like I'm listening with my ears stuffed with cotton wool, and I can only hear bass down to 28Hz. Maybe I just got a bad pair. So I'm looking for a better alternative in the same price range. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The Samson SR850 provides more bass and treble, have a lower impedance (32 ohms as opposed to 55 ohms for the AKG) which means the Samsons are louder at the same power output and are incredibly affordable (usually under $40). The Samson SR850 are considered by many to be the best headphones under $50 and outperform headphones costing 2 or 3 times the price. The sound quality is amazing.

I have not tried those out, but the k240s are slightly lighter and seem to apply pressure a little bit more evenly. If I had to guess, I'd assume they're more comfortable; keep in mind you're comparing $60 headphones with $300 headphones though.

This headphone design is at least 80s Many top recording studios use AKG K240 headphones as a solution for best general use for both monitor and playback.[27] They received particular notoriety from their prominent display in Eddie Murphy's 1985 music video for "Party All the Time" (which features the K240 Monitor)
