Another good comparison vid! Previous vids made me pull the trigger to buy the SHP9500 as my first open back headphones! Enjoying it so far w/o and with EQ(oratory1990's) and your EQ just now. It works best with acoustic tracks and orchestral ones. The opening score on Beyond by Daft Punk really made me shiver with the SHP9500 hahahaha!

@@baboom007 it sounds good with Music especially acoustic and orchestral tracks! I was shocked with the bass quantity really as most describe this as Bass lite. They're not bassy like my WH1000XM3 but it's ample enough for the music to not sound thin. Games and movies are immersive due to the wide soundstage. Imaging is good as well which is helpful for shooters. Was able to detect an ambush in Apex legends and got the jump on them hahaha!

@@chuckolatte600 Very much so. Thank you so much. Do you prefer this EQ to the one in your standalone review for the shp9600? My sole critique is that the bass shelf is only at 30hz, while (according to rtings) it starts to dip below neutral at 60hz. 30hz isn't really audible anyway, so it seemed a bit random. But the pinpoint accuracy of your treble adjustments is Nobel Prize winning stuff.

@@warmlycalculated390 I go as low as 30Hz because I'm typically not a fan of raising mid-bass, so I stay away from it even if I'm increasing sub-bass. And yeah, always go with my most current EQ settings. So if I make a comparison video featuring whatever HP you're looking at, check that one out.

I miss my AKG Q701. It's been my best can for gaming. The soundstage was vast and I could hear everything.

Sir i m currently running a shitty earphones m thinking of getting a new headphones but m not sure which i m a huge pink floyd fan but i listen from time to time some classical rock edms pop etc and m comfused around Sennheiser hd 560s akg k702 both of these are basically of same cost here in india I think i can spare some cash and get some ifi zen air dac or zen dac v2 as it is cheap I will be greatfull as you are one of that actually know the sound signature and what could be the best Love to hear your input Regards

I own the SHP9600 and Fidelio X2HR. I got the Dekoni suede pads on the X2HR. Its heaven on my head. So soft and comfy and i like the change to the sound the new thicker pads give.

Truthfully, I'd prefer the k7xx's soundstage. They're about as wide, but also offer a little more space from front to back, and top to bottom.
