Why the fuck would you need AKGs when the sheer clarity of the Etymotic ER2SE beats all the other shitty earbuds and headshits on the market?

Did you break in the cable for another 500 hours? How did you do in the critical phase between 150 and 200 hours? I replaced mine with an orange lawnmower cable from Black and Decker, which improved the sound substantially.
@scientificaudiophile2 жыл бұрын
Yes, broke in another cable. Between 150 and 200 hours my notes state a slight dip in overall neutrality and a slight emphasis in the 700-750 Hz range. I have to question that Black and Decker cable, as I’ve never used a cable under $1,000 that is truly revealing.

@@scientificaudiophile Sadly, Black and Decker only offer budget cables for their lawnmowers (that's what I used), but it had to be orange for me.
@audioreviews2 жыл бұрын
Now joke aside: this is based on a true story where a high-end speaker manufacturer had forgotten their cables for the tradeshow display. The rep went to a hardware store and purchased a $50 Black and Decker lawnmower cable...and did not disclose it. It sounded great and people loved the orange colour. The other half is about Kimber loudspeaker cables. The company reported customers' "difficult experience" between break-in hours 150-200. It needed 500 hrs of break-in according to the manufacturer. You can't make this shit up! If you did some serious promoting of such hokus pokus, the number of your subscribers would go up one to two magnitudes.

I wish I saw this review before I bought three pairs of AKG K812 for my evening fire! Now I have to buy another pair to listen to it, I hope I can find them at the highest possible price.
I drank a little too much Round Barn Winery's Cherry 🍒 last night and was in the need of a palette cleanser this morning. You've provided that in spades! I found your rating completely spot on, perfection! 🥰 Love the new rating system and it's increased resolution. I can't help but wonder, however, if it quite reaches the level of granularity and nuance required to detect real meaningful differences. 🤔 Lastly, did you have a chance to sample the 1:05 - 1:23 portion of the Interstellar OST? I hear that's a staple test track for midrange dexterity (I might have the timestamp incorrect).

This is one of the dumbest reviews I've ever watched. Nothing under a $1000 is worth anything?? What does that even mean? That it's not worth your time I guess. There are plenty of headphones under $1000 that are great quality and great sounding and are worth listening too much more than some in the $1000 plus price range. What a joke.
