But the balanced output is not real balanced (differential), right? It only serves as an adapter..

I don't see what the big deal is. For a turntable at the price it's at, it doesn't sound bad. Not everyone can afford the super high end stuff. If you don't like Retrolife don't buy it. Besides, there are plenty of other brands that look the same as Retrolife and probably built in the same factory. Too many snobs out there.

Awsome review, nice sidemark to the delusional Lachlan, great products, the measurements at ASR are stellar, especially for such a cheap product.

Atom...what a good name for a company. Interesting that things so small in size can do such big things. Blow up an atom and it can desyroy a city. Blow up a whale or an elephant....and nothing! Of course be sure to be kind to our animal friends; they're truly adorable and will be your best most loyal friend ever...like the one on our host's leg, that is always SO well behaved. They seem inseperable What breed is that fine well behaved animal? I misplaced my reading glasses about a month ago. Really nice looking girls sitting across the table. Hard to pick which one is the hottest. If you ask your average person if they can picture an atom, they say something like " It's kind of small but yah I think I can picture it; maybe something around the size of fruit fly dookie."...Wrong! There are way less grains of sand on all the Earths beaches combined, than the number of molecules in one drop of water. Look it up. And an atom is much smaller than a molecule. There are 1.6 sextillion molecules in a drop of water. Speaking of numbers, 2.6 watts sounds like vintage Lloyds, Soundesign, Yorx and Clarinette amp territory. But if they're quality watts, it's better than 5.2 medocre watts. There used to be a record cleaning product called the Watts Dust Big; not to be confused with Dirt Bags, like those who do not like Diane Bish. Some $2,000 turntables from the 1980s used Atari game console AC plugs as their plug in power supply. Remember the game Barnstorming? The graphics were a little primitive, but so much fun.

I purchased the ATOM 2 STACK, It powers the Sennheiser HD600 effortlessly - I reach max volume at half of the volume knob - 12' o'clock position. Every thing is smooth - the volume button is smooth and the gain and selector buttons feel solid. Highly recommend. Its really that good.

Hi. I enjoyed your review, but I still don't understand your comment about the monos not being reccomended for the Lintons. The video link you refered us to goes to your criticisms of the Darko Linton review. I have watched that video twice and cannot find what you are referring to. The link comes up as you mention that the v3 monos can handle reactive loads, and then you state they won't work for the Lintons. Please elaborate further as I must be missing the obvious. If you won't elaborate, I'll have to contact Diane Bish directly!! :)
@scientificaudiophile13 сағат бұрын
It's a comment on this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iKfKkGWKadiJbc0 where Darko recommended cheap amps to power the Lintons.

I gotta give DMS some slack here. I’m an LTT fan and Linus is very open that they like to go completely nuts on a product class to make it more engaging. I’m pretty sure that Linus & team very specifically requested DMS to bring the most absolutely crazy gear he possibly could just to showcase the audiophile rabbit hole. He does even say that you could have “half the gear for a similar sound”. The other point is that DMS was sent over specifically to represent Abyss.It can be tough when selling similar products to call one out as ‘the best’ when they may occupy different niches. Perhaps this was the younger days of DMS’s learning, or maybe he was hamming it up for the camera, but he does know his shit. He’s built a number of pretty crazy setups, designed headphones and built an open source speaker (which measures quite well). I’d give the man a bit more credit before you rip apart his every word.

Hey, thank you for the review. Can you please let me know, if ok to use one of those to drive 2x 70w surround speakers in my 7.2.4 home cinema, with onkyo av receiver, that rewuires external amp to drive 2 additional back speakers. To turn them on with the amp im planning to use 12v trigger out on my amp and relay before this amp psu. Hope will not have any bumps on switching.
@scientificaudiophile3 күн бұрын
Not exactly sure what you’re planning since the Aiyima doesn’t have a trigger. You might be better off with the Fosi Audio ZA3.
@zenonek793 күн бұрын
I will just leave Aiyima permanently on, and trigger from onkyo will activate relay, that will turn on Aiyima. Its like pluging it in and out to power socket, the only diference that relay will do the work. You recommended Fosi, does it have signal in wake or something? Thanks.
@scientificaudiophile2 күн бұрын
@@zenonek79 The FOSI has a real trigger. My concern with chip amps is that it may get very hot and eventually burn out the chip. Though I haven’t tried it with no signal.
@scientificaudiophile2 күн бұрын
Fosi has a trigger. Not sure if leaving the Aiyima on permanently will cause heat issues without a signal.

The WiiM Amp will be fine if you’re going to use it only as a streamer and not the line input. Pair it with the Polk Audio Atrium 5’s and you’ll have a great setup.

Gentlemen, I have 2 48 volt 5a like fois audio za3 amplifiers and I connected these amplifiers monoblock, and the muses01,muses02,muses03 opamps play very nicely, and my audio source is my computer with an ASUS X99 DELUXE ll motherboard, and the speaker is Monitor Audio Silver 100 (7G) As a musical style, I listen to rock, blues, pop, latin pop and I'm currently continuing with muses03s. By the way, I buy all my opamps from the original MOUSER and DIGIKEY, and in addition to these, I also bought the original TPA3255DDVR amplifier chips, but I have not changed them yet, but the ones on the amplifier seem to be original, so I am not in a hurry to change them.
