Thanks so much for watching and thanks again for your video in making sense of AKG's "well thought out" naming conventions!

Thanks! The first episode is a little rough around the edges, but it got better as we got more comfortable doing it.

They sound really nice, I prefered the AKG on the guitar. Congrats for the new intro with the microphones' morphing, that's dope!

Thanks for checkin out the video! Hard to beat these for the money!

I think all modern AKG mics most likely work well unless if you’re looking for something specific. Compared to other microphones it lacks the open air and refinement but that can be a good thing if you just want something plain

Great Review. I like the AKG Perception 170 comparing it to the other SDCs in this review. Have you ever heard of Line Audio CM4? Might be worth reviewing too. ;-)

OMG YES! Ive had those on my list for the longest. They don't have resellers in the USA and any emails ive sent to them asking if they'd ship some out to me have gone unanswered. I should contact the Canadian distributor and see if they can do something for me.

AT2035 is a really good mic you may wish to feature some time. It’s an inexpensive way to add to your locker… and if you wanted to go hard with it, you could compare it with the mic it replaced in their line, the AT3035. You do ask for suggestions, I just may not always have the best ones to run with.

That fits into the under $100 requirement right now... its a possibility! Thanks!

Very interesting videos, have you looked at much of the sE range at all? I have started using the sE4400a as my workhorse replacement for the 414 as I don’t like the Harman built AKGs much. Looking forward to the podcast.

I think the only se’s we have at the moment are the BL8 and sE5 which was a predecessor to the sE8. While ill agree the previous gen of AKG 414s were rough the current arent really as bad as reviews make them out to be. I have the XL2 and its really nice on acoustic guitar.

I dunno, back to back, KM184’s win for my ears. There’s a richness to them…. that includes the price point too. Except OH’s. Only ribbons win. Oh, and about that ii chord…..
@meistudiony9 ай бұрын
Yeah.. these were all filmed at the same time. New ones going forward I'll change that up! ;)

I’m just jamming’ ya re: the ii chord! Excellent vids w an array of mics I’ll never own. Really like the history aspect too. Thx for all your effort! ✌️
