Akiane - "Drawing an Eye" Demo #1

So, I'm an artist and I can tell you it's difficult drawing from memory. It's difficult drawing from a photo and making sure everything is the proper perspective, size, etc. Akiane is an extremely talented and gifted artist and person, she is so centered and spiritual that she can capture the essence of the person she is drawing or painting. She is so gifted and amazing!!!!!

She sees in and re-creates in microscopic detail. I believe she actually has a photographic memory. I've only met one person who has this type of memory. Mine is more like a scratched and broken one.

Akiane has an ability NOT a gift. She didn't come out of the womb with a 'gift; to draw. She learned while a child when her brain was still susceptible to learning easily. She would've been obsessed with developing her desire to draw, just as children are obsessed with many desires at an early age. But most kids just watch TV or play video games. Akiane could've just as easily become a pianist or a tennis player. Everything comes with practice. Some people have extraordinary abilities evident from early childhood, that defy comprehension, but none of it matters without dedicated practice and trial and error. Child prodigies are rare only because most parents don't know how to properly raise their children to develop their natural artistic abilities. How do you think Akiane would've done raised by a poor family in China that made her go work in a shoe factory? I doubt seriously that she would've been able to draw a chair let alone a landscape or an eye.

I'm an artist too. I was very young when I found I had a natural aptitude for art. I firmly believe this 'aptitudes IS God given gift....just as someone who has unusual mathematical abilities. Working at it, studying is honing that gift. Many people can enjoy doing art....but their are some out there...touched by God. This young lady is one of them. I am grateful for my gift. It is immensely satisfying when you see a vision come to life. Thank you Father, for the particular gift you have given to each one of us.

I'm an engineer, and people always tell me, "you're too much into the weeds or detail". I think it's the details that make up the project! In our "microwave" society, most want a 30 second meal then they complain about the taste!? haha. Your attention to detail with the shadows, the tear duct, the hair that makes up the eyebrows and the eyelashes, the shadow, the shape of the upper eye, etc. conveys the thought and the person behind that eye. Details matter greatly!! Outstanding work Akiane! You inspire me to improve. People always try to separate engineering and art, but they actually flow together in intricate detail. Isn't the God Almighty the Master Artist and Engineer?!! Thank you for sharing. I love love your work. Art is work, and you do it masterfully. It's a privilege in some small way to mimic the ever-loving Creator.

I am ever amazed at your God given talent. Your art is breathtaking Akiane! I remember first seeing the Prince of Peace portrait, as featured in "Heaven is for Real" film in 2014. It still brings a tear to my eye because before I saw that film I had an encounter. A real encounter, not one of type of encounters that you often hear of. And in that encounter that was the face I saw. Made more clear by one of your other portraits, as seen in your KZbin video "Painting the Impossible". I believe that during your "disappearance" God imparted something to you that has grown and matured as you have grown and matured. God has blessed you Akiane! I must share something. When I was a baby in Christ, and went to sleep in pain about an issue. The next morning, upon awakening, I saw a vision of the crown of thorns. I expected to see the eye of Christ, but the eye I saw was my eye. Oh, how compassionate is Christ. I never went through what He did, and I have many faults and am a work in progress. So, this video has brought back this vision. Jesus loves us so much. I am in tears and will never forget this vision. Oh my God.

Lori C, I think there are a lot of impatient, inexperienced-in-life kids with a trigger-finger because they can’t relate to something due to immaturity. Sometimes these kids thumbs-down videos at that instant that they feel bored* for lack of being in tune and that’s their way of changing mental channels on a search to the next video they won’t relate to. Something else is bothering these ones, not the videos. They are looking for something, but not something they are too immature for. They are looking for glitter, etc.
