Well animals don’t care of how fat the creature is. It depends on how much energy that the waste for a gorilla leopard, the waste so much energy trying to kill it and fight it so they’ll easily go to the easier route and kill something else that doesn’t causes much energy like example for a baby animal it doesn’t cost any much energy sitting with humans is consenting with baby humans do you likely spend more of their energy to kill those instead of you know bigger and top of things because the likely be killed themselves and also they don’t waste much energy just killing a baby, a human or another creature doesn’t need doesn’t need energy to be wasted on

To me the easy tell tale are the tails maybe it isn’t 100% but it’s an easy distinction between monkeys and apes. Saiyans are monkeys humans would be apes I guess. And to separate ape groups easier and also answer the part when no one helps kerchac and tarzan against sabor I think gorillas and orangutans have like 1 defensive alpha bull like…bulls and horses but chimpanzees act like baboons and group attack threats or weak neighbors

I love this movie with ALL MY HEART!!! For the record? Sabor was hunting humans specifically. It was a man hunter, hence why it went for the parents, Tarzan as a baby, and then Tarzan as an adult specifically. Cats do not waste their time on grown Gorillas in their home for food. That is a death sentence. lol Humans in the jungle is unnatural, so I guess Sabor wanted them eradicated.

Tarzan's first 5 minutes go SO hard. Ngl I still get chills every time the jungle beat drops and you see the "Tarzan" title card in the beginning. That combined with the incredible Phil Collins soundtrack and incredible animation make this movie so underrated tbh

Fun fact about Tarzan's tree "surfing" The animators used real surfing and skateboarding techniques to animate Tarzan's maneuvers through the trees. If you look closely, you can recognize some of them. Like surfing through a big wave.

Monkeys are different from apes like gorillas and chimps. Monkeys have tails whereas apes do not. So if you're watching DBZ and hear Frieza yelling "SAIYAN MONKEEE!!" just know he's out of line... but he's right.

in the time period this movie is set in, there are no gorillas in zoos. the first gorillas brought to zoos were kidnapped as they are in this movie and something like 95% of them died on the way to the zoo to be studied. its why jane and her dad are studying the gorillas, they are mostly rumored creatured and most people had not ever seen one up close.

Watch a few documentaries on the making of. It used an innovative technology developed for I think just it; extreeeemy expensive and doing a lot of 3D stuff before any real robust software was out there to work with. Don’t think they used it again bc there are cheaper ways but the LOOK. All the like, sliding on vines dynamic background movement is what it majorly did and you can really feel it. No other movie has quite the same feel.

I believe the first lowland Gorilla was caught for a zoo around 1930 while the Tarzan film is 1890 so about 40 or so years too early.

@@KB-tg7pf According to gorilla's under human care there were apparently some Gorilla's in the 1880's but they didn't live long (in some cases only a few day's, in ohters a few months). The one I had in mind were probably the first ones in an American zoo 1931. So they might have seen a Gorilla in a zoo but it wouldn't be in good health and they'd have to be very lucky. Google to the rescue.

The Tarzan books are among my favourite series ever. Though, there are quite a few differences between the first book and its disney adaptation. There kinda needed to be because the book was written for adults and is quite violent. It was also written in 1912, so it's not exactly PC in modern times.
