Wow, as a Dazai kin, this explained and even revealed to me things that I didn't even _know_ I had in common with him! I was just pointing at the screen talking to my invisible audience saying "That's me! Wow!" over and over again! You explain everything so well... (also thanks for the subtitles, it was a bit difficult to parse your accent at times but they really helped!)

@@AkiraAnimeExpress I don't think his attempts make him a badly written character? Perhaps to some they make him a _bad character_ and that's completely valid, but I don't think they detract from his _writing,_ since they serve to display a large part of his character.

I think you should pay attention to how you order sentences like that, because it seems more like you're saying "He's well written _apart from this thing"_ rather than "It's good to be like him _except for this trait"_

As an INTP, I ended up with 10/13 + bonus lol Though i would say he's arguable nit an exrrovert. While at first you would think he's quite outgoing, that's a trait he's picked up with life, you can see that he prefers to be alone (like in the boat party, Atsushi found him standing alone outside) The more I think of Dazai as a character, the more I realize "Oh shit I kin Dazai" Not suicidal (nor do I harm myself in any way) but I'm almost too philosophical for my own good. I remember asking about the meaning of life and what happens after death wjen I was 3 after my great grandpa died 😅

I’m intp, also like 90% of the points made here line up with me. Tho k already knew I mined Dazai so- Edit: especially the part about not showing your full self. Nah, my bad side is only reserved for those closest to me. Edit: let me just list out what I relate to in This video, oh also I’ve found out that I’m now an entp rather than intp. 1. My viewpoint on life is definitely somewhere in between nihilism and absurdism, so yes, I see no value in life, but I just life with it anyway. 2.
