Such a great episode, man. I've been there (near to Lefkas City) and didn't catch even a part of cuisine what you presented. Never knew about lentils, never knew about that botanist fellow, but we also have the kinds of him here... I was so blown away by spit roast (kontosouvli and kokoreci) that I never encountered anywhere else (not even Corfu or Kefalonia), along with the omnipresence of horta (vlitha) salad which is probably the best ever greek side dish apart from skordalia or horaitiko. Visited Lefkada numerous times, defo one of my favorite places in Greece. Mainly for its stunning beaches and the fact that the whole island has that wilderness touch to it. It doesn't feel to modern and touristy. Just a phenomenal place. Porto Katsiki is one of the greatest places on earth. Don't @ me on that one.

Great, this is the time we were in Greece last year. Your videos are making me nostalgic to no end with all the traditional food display nd cooking outdoors. I m an outdoors addict so you can imagine what I must be feeling. Like flying back to Greece. A country I love the best, pristine and bold. Hey looking at you I can imagine how Alexander the Great must have been like. But you never showed interest in a recipe I wanted to share with you. You would simply love it with all kinds of pitas,pies, cutlets and pilavs etc. Anyway I must first congratulate you for your wonderful creation you share with others with an open mind. God bless you. I love all the recipes on this episode, will be making the last recipe, very easy to follow. I think I passed by the Ionian Islands the first time I visited Greece in 2010 by the Minoan Lines departed from Venice, it stop briefly to drop off passenger in Corfu, maybe passed by Lefkada. I love the convenient of just taking a ferry to Santorini, follow by speed boat to Crete. I am still amazed by how easy it was to just take a 90 mins speed boat from Fethiye, Turkey to visit Rhodes. I love all the Greek islands, I only wish they have Uber :)

Oh my gosh I love Lefkada and love the little village area that you cook on with the mural the guy would leave out a bottle of water for me in the morning as I would cycle up from Rouda to the top of the mountain. Would then return back in the evening for dinner a fantastic welcoming warm island with amazing friendly people I am missing it soooooooooo much
