Aww, taken on my birthday ^___^ Your Kaitô's such a beautiful Akita. They're wonderful dogs, right? I love my little girl so much, she means everything to me, she's most loyal and speaks deep to ones heart. Love Akitas forever!

Hehe same with my 3 year old male akita (named Yoko) : ) What makes it even worse that +50 kg akita can pull really hard. With a firm hold and few tricks its not a problem. Yoko hated swimming first but then I took him to a lake and went to water with him and he loved it, best thing to cool in hot summer days.

Kaitô doesn't seem to like water too. Maybe one day... It would be cool to see him swimming. :D

Sometimes akitas really act like cats indeed: washing themselves, waiting for tiny animals like mice and leaping on top of them instead of chasing them, being stubborn etc.

I don't know, cause Kaitô pulls alot. :D Normally you should do small firm pulls to teach him and reward him with treats when he's doing good. If we give Kaitô something, he really CAN do it. But that's the problem: he's too smart. If he knows we don't have any treats he won't listen. :D But we don't really mind.
