The level of sophistication is industrious. This is not longer a toy. This is strict programming, parametric architecture, mathematics, physics, coding, software engineering and robotics. This is clean class of advanced mechatronics. The Japanese culture only produces things like this. It is culture since the era of the Kabuki or even longer. Their comprehension of mechanical devices has more than 2000 years. Makes perfect sense seeing this. Tacitly he is speaking about arrangements and derangements of a sequence. It’s the Amazon grid bots extended to more degrees of freedom. This work is simply perplexing.

I love that this engineering is on par with cutting edge logistics/warehousing technology. I assume you’re planning on showcasing this at Lego ball meetups. It would be awesome, if your display had enough “floor space” to give a controller to the audience that gives control over a Lego figurine/tiny vehicle (maybe it could collect a dropped ball?). The automation vehicles are all performing a choreography to perform their function. They will choose different paths automatically to avoid the user-controlled craft, but are never interrupted. Modern fulfillment center tech, as far as I am aware, uses a radius to freeze robots. Probably best for the humans, but ongoing operations would be awesome.
