you don't know how excited i am to see one of these and hear your commentaries again man 😮😚, I love the review! Nice comparison between the cream yello pro , the normal cream yelloh and the gateron yellos! Gateron's clearly has a nice soft lower volume sound , while the cream yellow pro has a clackier, loud and subtle sound! (I think i used subtle right but idk xD) , awesome once again man, been awhile since I've watched keyboard videos (basically getting a bit bored of keyboard learning) and this is one of the ones that I've start to watch again haha :D

Hi tea! Thank you for tuning in again! There are times when I feel burnt out as well covering keyboards as well - sometimes it feels like new boards or switches aren't as exciting as they were a couple years ago. But these were interesting enough for me to pull out the voiceover again haha

I just got this switch for the Keychron V1. These were the first ever switches I've ever installed myself. Even with the stock keycaps, and completely stock switches, these are really high tier. I definitely prefer these to the (pre-lubed) Keychron Red switches included with the board. They just seem less fatiguing and give better feedback. I don't have a lot of stuff to compare to, but I really enjoy these for only $35 for a pack of 90.
@TAZAKEY Жыл бұрын
Thank you for the comment! 🌞 I feel the line between budget and more premium switches is blurring rapidly in today's market, and vendors like Akko are really pushing the quality you can find with budget switches. After you've lived with these switches for a while, I would recommend continuing to sample other budget switches so that you can start understanding what you like and don't like for your switches!

I really like your style of video! Also, do you think after lubing and filming both switches they would be the same in sound and feel? I want to get them but I don't know if I want to get the pro version or not because I'm not sure what the difference would be after lubing and filming.
@TAZAKEY4 ай бұрын
Thank you!! The sound is going to be a bit different between the pro and non-pro versions after lubing and filming, but the difference may be quite minimal. Out of the box, the pro versions are smoother than the original, but if you're going to open them up and lube them anyway, the difference in smoothness between the two is going to be negligible. I would suggest the pros if you don't want to lube them and the original cream yellows if you are going to lube them anyway!
@aar0934 ай бұрын
@@TAZAKEY Thanks! What would the longer spring on the pros change in the feel between the two? Also, what mic do you use to record your voice? it sounds amazing!
@TAZAKEY4 ай бұрын
The longer spring is mainly going to change the upstroke to be snappier and the weight of the switch more uniform throughout. I believe I used the Zoom H1n to record my voice for this video, which is the same recorder I use for the sound tests!

How do both of these compare to the Akko CS Matchas?
@TAZAKEY Жыл бұрын
I found the Akko CS Matchas higher pitched than either if the Cream yellows. The Cream yellows are also long pole switches, so they have a distinct bottoming out sound. Smoothness and pinging is pretty comparable between the Cream yellow and Matcha green, but the Cream yellow pro out of the box has some lube which definitely helps it. Hope this helps!!

nice video i want to ask which one is better jelly black or cream yellow?
@TAZAKEY Жыл бұрын
The jelly blacks are excellent linear switches from Akko. The main difference between the two is the travel distance, with the cream yellow switches being long pole (and having a shorter travel distance). I personally prefer the cream yellow switches for the way they sound!

Thanks! How do they compare to kang whites?
@TAZAKEY Жыл бұрын
The weight between the two switches are pretty similar. The largest difference is going to be the longer stem pole of the cream yellow pro, which will shorten the key travel (0.7mm less in this case) and give it that long pole bottom out sound. If if I remember correctly, the cream yellow pros are a bit smoother out of the box, and spring ping is also more controlled. Lubing the two switches by hand would make those non-issues though! Thank you for watching!

@TAZAKEY Жыл бұрын
Yeah based on the keyboard, the switches will sound completely different! There is some pinging in the original cream yellow (when unlubed) that contributes a bit to a brighter sound, but overall I agree that they tend to sound a bit lower pitch than the pro version.
