Proteolytic are those who break down proteins so only those enzymes are proteolytic, not enzymes like disaccharidases right?

Many digestive enzymes are produced in the pancreas and released into the duodenum. Why, then, has the mammalian stomach evolved the ability to produce pepsinogen?

"Enteropeptidase converts trypsinogen (a zymogen) into its active form trypsin, resulting in the subsequent activation of pancreatic digestive enzymes." - Google ......Is it enterokinase or enteropeptidase?

My only critique is how often you use the term "proteolytic". To call a disaccharidase a "proteolytic digestive enzyme" is incorrect.

Hello, when you say small intestine, isn't it the duodenum? thank you
@morganm.7162 Жыл бұрын
Small intestine is made up of the duodenum, jejunum and ileum. Most of these hormones are located in the duodenum and jejunum but the entirety of the small intestine involves both digestion and absoprtion

@@morganm.7162 thank you. All this, I knew. This does not reply to my question, which I asked AK. When HE says "small intestine"...
