It's Varuzhan Akobian! Each lecturer on this channel has his own style (e.g. Finegold is brilliantly entertaining, while Seirawan teaches openings, theory and history). But, Akobian is like a chess instructor that you pay by the hour. He actually pushes you to learn and challenges you. Bravo.

Amazing game and video, Akobian! As far as non-2700+s go, you're my favorite. Your style reminds me of Karpov's.

Excellent lecture as always by GM Akobian.Very enjoyable and instructive .However in this game his opening looks a lot like the Dutch Stonewall which in previous lectures he had referred to as an inferior opening.Perhaps he is changing his mind?

varuzhan akobian on that puzzle with mate in 3 wouldnt queen F4 work and faster??
@MySnakky7 жыл бұрын
Isaiah Gunn my first thought was about f4 too, but the king can escape c4 even after queen a4
@isaiahgunn64357 жыл бұрын
Carboknight no because your white queen is still on D3 so C4 is not available for black king
@MySnakky7 жыл бұрын
my mistake i meant C5 ofcourse, just check it even if you go with Qa4 after he can escape. F4 is no solution for this
@isaiahgunn64357 жыл бұрын
noooooo check it again after queen F4 king C5 queen C4# is mate and he cannont take because the king is protecting C4 and the queen attacks B5,B4,andD5
@MySnakky7 жыл бұрын
Better you check it properly..... after Qc4# the black kind can still go b6 and escape.........This is 100% no solution

What a pathetic moron are you swedlife? Wesley and Var are still very good friends and solved that problem very professionally a long while back, so that neither of them have any issues with that incident anymore.. They are succeeding on everything they do in the lives.. On the other hand there is this noob trolling on youtube..

There is no professional way to resolve having your opponent disqualified for writing 'take your time' on his scoresheet. Wes is a good sport but guarantee you he has zero respect for Var, same amount any self respecting chess player should have.
