The Petrosjan variation turned into a Benoni but the positional rook sacrifice turned the game into a Petrosjan-like masterpiece!

Yes I had seen Akobian's earlier video about the Smyslov system. That showed how to play against a Black plan of ...e5. .But I was wondering how he would respond to Black's other major plan of ...c5 which makes more sense than e5, I think. Here Akob. pushed immediately d5, while I noticed that Smyslov himself did not push d5. To my mind, c5 makes a lot of sense mainly because White has lost time with e3 if he plays a later e4.

Var is so arrogant! He just doesn't act like it. 16:40 the hand gesture, 'a really really strong... fix here.' I wonder what he'd say about the evaluation if he weren't being diplomatic :)

William Mccormicx English is not his mother language so he is just trying to coordinate his sentences , not trying to be diplomatic or something
