Akon stepped up to Ebro in the Morning for some story telling, and conversation about his businesses, past hits, and classic collaborations.
He also shared some never before heard stories about Michael Jackson, Eminem, Whitney Houston, Quincy Jones, and more. He also gives an honest opinion on R. Kelly.
It wasn't all stories though, he addressed why he accepts investment dollars from Chinese billionaires, why he decided to do Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood, his cryptocurrency and put a lit of the great African jollof debate!

I love how true a friend Akon is to Michael. So many celebs have crawled under rocks and no longer defend him. Akon has always stood up for him. A true friend is someone who defends you when not in your presence and Akon is the ultimate definition of this.

Eminem hasn't done a real US tour since 2005 and world tour since 2003. He adopted Kim's drug addict sister's daughter (Alana), and eventually the girl Kim conceived while they were apart. He also stayed their dad after the 2nd divorce, plus he took custody of his 1/2 brother Nate and raised him too. Love or hate him, he deserves respect.

They are still going to slander MJ because it is their mandate. Many people have been on Vlad and told him with evidence that Mike was innocent and he still went on Twitter to slander him. They find it difficult to undo the 30 years of propaganda. But also even if they do not believe it, it has become career suicide to say anything positive about Michael, unless like Akon and Dave Chappelle you answer to yourself.

The more research you do into the cases against Michael the more you see the evidence that he was clearly an easy target It was all for money They used the one innocent thing that he love genuinely and turn it into something completely sick and disgusting. I have to agree with Ebro on that they definitely took advantage of Michael.

@nemoran Absolutely. I agree 100%. These people want only salacious news and interviews. Nothing more, nothing less. Look at how they were trying to push the whole "He's so creepy" narrative and how Akon kept shutting them down. Years back, I knew that Akon was beyond the music. I stopped having mentors after realizing that humans disappoint your impression of them to the point where it leaves you scarred for life, but, I actually go on KZbin most times, to watch Akon talk. He is so real, I don't know how to express my great love for him without evoking a negative perception. Funny enough, like his desire and appreciation for working with Michael Jackson, I think if I ever found myself in a room with him, I'd probably have achieved one of the greatest feats of my life. I don't care how that sounds to anyone, this is me and my thoughts.😂

As great as that can be, not everyone can be an entrepreneur. Not everyone can be successful. It'll disrupt the balance of the force. You see, In this world, wherever there is light - there are also shadows. As long as the concept of winners exists, there must also be losers. The selfish desire of wanting to maintain peace causes wars, and hatred is born to protect love

First ever comment on KZbin. I got into Michael Jackson's music only as recently as last year. Love everything about him especially watching his live performances. Wanted to learn more about him so I've spent hours doing research about the accusations and his court cases and depositions. Just from looking into the evidence about the main accusers anyone would come to the conclusion he is absolutely innocent. What I wanted to bring up, however, is what my intuition tells me. From getting to know the person MJ was from watching countless interviews, I can just tell he was a very pure, kind soul. Someone like MJ who spent most of his free time on tour visiting hospitals of sick children would simply not abuse them. He even said himself that he would have busloads of leukemia and cancer kids come to Neverland to enjoy themselves when they otherwise wouldn't have such opportunities. He did this quietly and didnt boast or brag about it in a look at me and what I'm doing type of way. He also payed for treatment for countless terminally ill children. Also just from watching interviews you can get a sense of his personality. He was a kind, gentle, caring person who believed in things like world peace and he loved people of all walks of life. My point is someone with these traits just wouldn't be an abuser or an evil person. This is totally separate from the research you can find out about some of the circumstances of the people involved in the allegations against him. Watch interviews and your intuition or gut feeling should tell you he just isn't anything close to how he has been portrayed by the media

One thing they forget to talk about is the children's mothers SPENT the night with Michael too. It's more likely Michael was messing around with these mothers same way he did with Lisa Marie when they hung out together. her children were at Neverland . many thousands of woman wanted sex with mj .... Countless. And he gave it to a more than a few of them i'm sure. Listen to his song Chicago I think this happened to him. With married women. When these mothers kept wanting more and Michael cut them off they got mad thinking they could live off him forever. even naomi campbell didn't wanna give him up. Jane Fonda and Michael swam naked together on golden pond. You think he didn't get something of that? Just like the woman at the well fell in love with Jesus woman fell in love with Michael. And just like Jesus loves the children of the world so did Michael. Saying MJ molested kids is like saying JC did. People mind's are so polluted they can't see innocence or truth. these are the people i don't want my kids around.

Notice the change of subject when Akon shuts down the MJ nonsense. Interviewer mentions that he felt it was weird seeing Michael holding hands with kids. How did he see it, was he there. Clearly there were loads of journalists and paparazzi in Neverland filming.

Damn I feel relieved after hearing him say that he schedules it like a job and does not try to force his work of being creative in the studio. I always press myself way to hard to write my music but now I don't need to anymore. Thanks Akon and Eminem!

Akon sounds like a good dude. I'm glad he stuck up for MJ, but Hot 97 wasn't deserving of the stories because they often participate in the MJ slander. They just entertained 50 cent's nonsense a few days ago. 😒

So true on the kids waisting money on cars, chains, clothing. The few rich people I know are the same guys you see driving an old pickup truck down the road looking like an everyday construction worker.
