Ik Asturis is a utopia but it still might be cool to have something like a grungy street market on one of the lower levels to get some of the street life in cinematics, or an area with a big clubbing scene

@@hodgepodge51 Well, there were a lot of episodes where Akruas built those green "streets in the sky"/elevated footpaths; usually, in those builds, there are small retail/storefront details or industrial/alleyway-esque environments below. The best example that shows this would be in episode 23. You see, dystopias don't really have a distinct look, those are just sci-fi/Hollywood visual shorthands; they're just an aesthetic and nothing more. Naturally, high density cities will inevitably have corners that look like they come from a dystopian/"cyberpunk" setting, but that's only because we've been conditioned to associate those visuals/environments/aesthetics to such a thing.

Asturis is such a beautiful city. On the one hand, it's sad to know the series will soon come to an end, but seeing the whole place finished is so worth it!

I mean it makes sense. If by any chance CS2 suddenly becomes good, he'll need to wrap up two CS1 series. If he quits Asturis there is only Altengrad, which has a pretty clear future ahead.

Yeah, makes me kinda resent CS2. Is it going to kill modded CS for years before it advances on it? We dont even know how well that game will handle big detailed stuff, with all the optimization problems on launch. People coud be abandoning or rushing cool projects to end up on a worse game making worse cities

What a shame this project is not going to last as long as Aurelia did, or longer. I was really looking forward to seeing more Asturis episodes in the future; I wasn't ready yet for this to be one of the last remaining episodes left.

this city is absolutely nuts. every episode i feel overwhelmed by the level of detail you put into this, and with how much wisdom youre able to procure these details from. i wish you came to turkey and fixed up my cities instead

If you choose to build a couple suburbs outside of the highway ring, maybe one of them could be an old town with buildings from the modern day or the past. Maybe that could be where Asturis originated before the space elevator brought all this new futuristic development next to the waterside. Anyways I love this series and I’m sad it’s coming to an end pretty soon, but thank you for building it and giving inspiration for some of the cities I have attempted to make in this game. Asturis is absolutely beautiful and I can’t wait to see how it turns out in the end!

I’ve said this before but, in case you haven’t seen it, I think you should fill the empty landscape around the city with a giant solar farm. While it would cover a massive area, it wouldn’t require too much work. Also, I’m very excited for the 1st person tram ride.

The elevated tram line running above the alley in the middle of the block reminds me of Chicago

In regards to cinematics, what would be cool is perhaps a ride on a helicopter line with the camera panned down at the city, or on the flying trains as though they don't turn much they get a wonderful zoom-in shot of the city from the elevator. Even the high-speed rail line would be really interesting to see, with it cutting that straight line directly through the whole of the city and thus seeing many different sections as it travels. The ships that regularly go down the rivers get some wonderful and unique views of the many bridges as well which could be good for something - maybe alongside the high-speed rail in one video, given the time taken on both would be rather short. It's both nice and somewhat sad to see Asturis wrapping up - it was a good journey to see this city grow from start to finish, and I'm very excited for both its final completion and its successors. This build was a wonderful one - the super-high density is of course the most time-consuming part due to the sheer amount of stuff put into it, so the rest felt like a shockingly large amount of work done in a very short time. The steps down in density to the city edge are very satisfying to look at, filling the space and merging Asturis's green into the natural terrain. The sprawl of the central transit hub now feels properly connected, and all the trains moving around visible from a wide shot looks great. That short building behind the government center being lined up between those two middle banks of towers is a particularly pleasing visual.

I was looking forward to this after your quick peek at it on Sunday; not disappointed...though it makes me want to head to the workshop for a couple of those buildings. Like, the building with double curved sides at 1:37, I have been needing a building like that.

I know CS2 doesn’t have the modding or details available that CS1 does have yet but I would love to see you make a super vertical city. Kinda like how the Mars series by CityWokCityWall did. Your futuristic style would do wonders with a city like that imo.

Fantastic build! The only things it lacks (but its not your fault) is a proper set of modern vehicle. There are some on the workshop, but they are all "supercar". Its strange that nobdy thinked to make some low/mid class vehicle for a futuristic city. At least you have plenty of trains and your loved trams

It's almost as if, in a utopian future, cars no longer serve as a necessary means of commute and have become reserved/relegated for races, or for occasional road trips or leisure rides - becoming on the same level of utility as horses - hence all of them being supercars, having no class-based distinctions.

Maybe you can do some small projects, like bring some nature to some parts of the city, or some sport facilities, schools, art, tourism, industry. It would be the finishing details and you can wait until CS2 is modded.

I was so sad when the city was settled in such a hurry. Looking back I see a lot of beautiful buildings created in great detail, but this last episode is not the same as before, it's disappointing. I hope that the city is repaired according to the original plan and built in detail as before and continues the unfinished parts, because there are still many empty areas that should be a city, I can see in the last video. I hope you continue the episode of Asturis.

We can hear the weariness in your voice, which fills the rest of us with sadness. A few of the continued limitations of CS2 are sameness, underwhelming performance and expense. Still not a fan. Cannot forsee any of your unique builds within that world for a while.

If they are converted into procedural objects, then yes they are dummy buildings, but that is usually mitigated by adding Block Services inside them.
