It's baffling that Akshay Kumar doesn't seem to understand the significant difference between having a strong work ethic and creating a good movie. Nobody discredits his efforts or his dedication, but we only want him to invest more time into making a film great and to choose stories that are original and fresh. Sorry, Sir, but we want you to give a movie breathing space and allow it to marinate in order to achieve greatness. Blockbuster hits like RRR, Jawan, Kalki, and similar commercial successes didn't happen in just 30 days of shooting. It's very sad to see Akshay Kumar films not do well and his downfall given that we all have such amazing memories from his films and songs over last 30 years and he is such a good human being. Reason why he has lost connect with audience is bcz of reasons that his close ppl don't tell him honestly and I hope this reaches to him: 1) his movie songs were the biggest reason why people saw his films - he needs to stop working with baadshah and Punjabi artists and work with excellent music directors and singers 2) he should stay away from bjp government on public platforms bcz they are just using him and especially from the godi media likes times now, Republic, India TV etc bcz 3/4th of country hate those channels and anchors.. 3) he should work with his old heroines with whom he had excellent chemistry and people will definitely see it, with new heroines they are all 25 years younger and we feel nothing 4) he should not have spoken about depression after SSR incident and either been quiet or been the one to speak about SSR 5) He should stop working with zero talent people like tiger shroff said Khan Farhad samji and work with best resources since he had access to those 6) he should never have done paan masala adds Wish him the best! Even the comments here and also akshay think it's ok for actors to be in it for the money. Sometimes, the comparison to method actors are ridiculous in saying those actors don't earn money. According to akshay then he needs to focus on putting out quality products that audience will spend money on. Actually the system is different in 90s people didn't use to notice things even if actors doing too many films the average ones might go unnoticed in 1995 srk did 7 films but only ddlj,Karan Arjun got mainly noticed and ram jaane got popular later but since the other 4 bad films got unnoticed he rose with stardom after that also he did 4-5 films in a year many times but only the films that were celebrated by the audience stayed in their memory but today audience notice every movie Varun Dhawan is doing,Notice every movie tiger shroff is doing and their stardom depends according to it I think for a tier 1 superstar they should limit themselves to 2 movies in a year only then the exclusivity will be there

Even mr. Baradwaj is laughing inside at akshay's opinion on his approach to acting. Akshay is going around the circle talking about cricketers and all that justifying his take on criticism. Dude doesn't get it, cinema is art first and business is just the result of drawing audience to theaters. If it's a 9-5 job for the money, then the logic is to make good products and be a good salesman selling his product. Even in that scenario he's not understanding 7 out of 8 films wasn't profitable and was a bad business idea. That's all critics are pointing out, so please be humble and then talk.

Loved that they spoke about Khakee, it's a fantastic masala thriller that has great repeat viewing. It's a rare multistarrer that gives great roles to all its superstars. It even gave Tushar Kapoor his two great scenes - one during a confrontation with Ashwini Kalsekar (brilliant performance) and the climax. The all A star cast of Amitabh, Akshay, Ajay, Atul Aishwarya were all so damn good. Great support cast in Tanuja, Prakash Raj, Sabyasachi, Kamlesh Sawant and D Santosh. PS: Love it's opening montage scene and credits style (showcasing future scenes, was done a lot in 70s movies like Don).

I think one of his best movies and performance was Airlift where he really was believable, his character's vulnerabilities are very nicely showcased. His comic movies - some of them are damn good. Hera Pheri, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Garam Masala and Welcome surely stand out. Bhool Bhulaiyaa was good too (not a patch on Manichitrathazhu though). Also found Namaste London, Baby, Special 26 and Oh My God as very good movies. While he is justifying doing multiple movies, i am sure Baddy is itching to say that the issue is the quality getting compromised. But he is holding back.

Sugarcane juice बेचने वाला is in a better position than an educated unemployed graduate or someone who has Lost a low paying job. That person cannot go and sell tea or sugarcane. Those people need more guidance and help than the so called poor that we Come across the indian roads and shops. Slumdog Millionaire mindset has to change. Middle Class educated people suffer more. They don't have a job but their Building watchman has.

Akshay, the problem is not that you are working so hard. The problem is why you are getting so much work after so many flops. Are so many producers, directors so stupid to take you in a film knowing that you are a flop? It clearly shows the mafia and the gang culture that exists in Bollywood. It is suppressing real talent from coming up. You are a "yester-year" actor who can't come to terms that your days are long gone. Just by pairing up with younger female actresses doesn't mean you have become younger. You were always a sub-par actor whose movies made it because of Kumar Sanu's songs. Now Kumar Sanu is outdated and so are you.
