I have the Slopes and Pilgrims. The Pilgrim is a stiffer boot for sure. The Slope is more plush and comfy. A classic hiker boot (The Italian made Slope) that's comfort and then durability oriented vs a multi purpose/combat boot (The Romanian made Pilgrim) that's durability and then comfort oriented. For mellow hikes and chilling around camp while loading the campfire up with logs, I prefer the slope. If I were to volunteer for combat duty or tactical work, the more stiff and sturdy Pilgrim seems a better choice. In any case, AKU is a solid choice

I currently have the Pilgrims. Is sizing on the Slopes about the same? There’s no local Aku dealers so it’s all online for me.

Stuart......Brilliant video, a lot of people forget about there feet, super dooper jacket's, rucksacks, knifes, tents, etc etc.....but if your feet are compromised (wet&cold) really doesn't matter how much you spend on all the rest of your gear.....its going to be a bad day. Cheers bud....👍👍👍🏴🏴🏴🍺🍺🍺

Hanwag Tatra II with a pair of better (more cushioned) insoles, are the best boots I've walked in! They kind of stiff at first, but they feel like you ride on the best Mercedes car out there after the breal in period!! I've never felt so secure, so stable, yet comfortable on any other boot. If God allows a bit more time to prepare better, then my next perchuse, will be the AKU Slope. Thanks for the feedback!

Five years! Mate that is money well spent. Shame they don’t do safety boots, I’m getting about a year on site for about £80.
