something I don't see anybody talk about is how deceptive his drive impact animation is, it's supposed to have a longer windup animation but then the hit happens very quick at the end. it doesn't offer enough visual cue to react in time, at least not as much as the other characters.

The divekick being safe is super annoying as a Sim player. If I space my drills wrong they're unsafe on *hit.* Not block, hit. But Akuma can just throw divekicks around with no fear.

Not downplaying the win, but Lily is not a complex character to play. Very straight forward gameplan. Luke felt those damage nerfs at combo breaker.

I don't think his damage output is that high (as for now), but he is indeed a very versatile character blessed with a lot of options for dealing with situations. Do you think his skill set justify his low health, especially considered the volatile nature and everybody can do a lot of damage in SF6?

Im enjoying him but struggling with his stiffness (im not really used to shotos) after playing pretty much only deejay trying to play a shoto feels really rigid and slow, dying super fast isn’t great either, his timing in combos is a bit off too

Not to mention that Demon Flip can be DI relatively easily because it takes a while for the dive kick to get down. You cannot spam the special moves in neutral like you were used to do in the past. By the way, his teleport is not invincible either and his tatsu is leaving you open if you whiff. He is top 10 for sure, but I still think the Ken blow him up the water.

It’s literally just his health. Is he strong and crazy yes absolutely! But one mistake and you’re dead! You have to be good at the game in order to use him effectively. Most of the cast craps out massive damage and that’s what balances him out

He is not as great as people want to make him sound like. In reality, Ken and Ryu are better than him. All his gimmick sounds good on paper until you realize it is all fake. Even JP can Drive Rush under a jumping Fireball leaving Akuma open for Punish Counter. Not to mention the fireball disappear if there is a hit on a jumping fireball.

Most Akumas are scrubs. He maybe a shoto but he’s far more of a character specialist than the other shotos, which is why he is not that common at higher play. You need a great sense of awareness, offense and defense to avoid getting clipped, especially in this game where damage is insanely high.

This the most balanced Akuma. Akuma is far from broken ppl just suck. He has plenty bad match up, low health, if you have good reactions the demon flip is easy to stop

Dont think hes better than DJ, Chun, Luke, Cammy, JP Hes like 6th-8th best His low health is an issue. Also a reason why we saw ZERO Akumas top 32 at Combo Breaker. If he was so busted, if he was so good, hed be repped mpre at that event and he wasnt.

Are you crazy, Akuma is straight up stupid. He has by far the best fireball game, stupidly high damage, corner carry and safejumps that all come from safe onblock, special cancellable, high range pokes that are all extremely fast in startup and give more than enough time to hit confirm with them. All of this is without bringing up his BS air fireball that beats DP's, is plus on block, is insanely hard to punish unless read in advance, drains drive gauge since parrying it guarantees Akuma some plus frames through the use of driverush HK and on hit even the non OD version easily leads into a 55 ~ 65% damage combo (without and with lvl3 respectively). Akuma is stupid and after having played nearly 300 games as and against him I have to admit that he's by far the dumbest character I've had the misfortune to play against. What a super unfun and annoying character to play against.
