A little late, but that jazzy ambient synth deserves some love for complementing the aforementioned themes with a combination of mystery as a result of his seclusion, repetition for Akuma’s dogged practice of his art, and ambiguity in that he’ll never know just when he’s become the strongest or who could possibly make fighting worthwhile for him after he’s number one. I think this theme fits Akuma so well because it perfectly encapsulates him. The flute being how he's an old school fight to the death fighter and just about everything else on the beat being how's he's evolved and just about better or ahead of everyone he fights. This instrumental almost makes you feel like you're constantly trying to catch Akuma moving increasingly faster around you in a fight.

The classic instrument Shakuhachi well known through out japan for meditation and folk song . also it can be utilized in modern music by simply being of a longer or shorter length to change the main key. This instrument is very diverse and seen as one of the hardest instruments to master. Check it out if your into the soothing sounds it produces, i personally own a few and dabble in building them.
