It uses the midi protocol, but it's not a GeneralMIDI device. gael jehanno was talking about the latter.

exactly, there is other midi device you can use for the x68000 and the mt-32 sound better for me(nostalgia). Sorry if i wasnt clear enought.

I undertood. You said base MIDI (General). MIDI is information, not sound.

No it is not. MT-32 is not a general midi device, its not even fully compatible with one. You can set the MT-32 into a mode where it shifts the channels down a slot and it kind of sort of works for midi then but it was created before the MIDI standard.

Extract from the first file (7z.001) first, it should work. If it doesn't, try re-downloading it.

I've re-downloaded it several times now, I've even rebooted my computer and made sure re-downloading it was the first thing it did. I am opening the 7z.001 file first, and 7-Zip just refuses to open it and WinRar is still saying this: "! C:\Users\Rarefoil\Downloads\MT-32 [1993] [Keizo Nakamura, Shin-chan, Hiroshi Kobayashi].7z.001: The archive is corrupt". Is there an alternative download link I can try?
