Beautiful speaker. Thank you for sharing your hope on this program 🖐️
Quote: "My mom taught me that to be a good person you had to go out into the world and find people that you think needs your help and you hold them down and help the hell out of them whether they want it or not and that's how you know you're a good person." Yup. I don't know where the codependency or superiority compkex came from, but I definitely learned to "help the hell out of" people!

I don't know how I'd gotten through w/out the likes if his mom, saving me. Thank God, , for 'em. Light has come into the world, faith is a choice... sadly, .. even Judas said no, so close to the light.

Its cool to hear this now--I'm 15 years sober in AA, and this describes my dear husband perfectly! He's in another program and I'm so grateful. For myself, I still do experience a lot of self-centered thinking about the drunks/addicts I try to help in my program. Always a task to detach and give that person to God, just like I do my own drinking and thinking. Thanks!

I never had any idea alcoholism a generation separated can have an effect, but it makes so much sense. Thank you for this.

OMG! Gratitude to Aaron and Al -Anon! I'm 33 years dbl winner, fell madly in love with an Al-non member. Now stepping (literally) up my Al-non program so I'm not lost in their needing to need and their compassion/control. Love them to the moon but trying to stay on my side of the street and take care of myself

Listening to both AA and Alanon speakers has become such a strong part of the foundation that I stand on. You have been an amzing, and fun speaker here. Thank you for sharing your experiences. You help me know to 'do my best, and Jesus does the rest', He would never expect more than that.

Prayer for Alcoholics Everywhere Person who is both God and man; All: Who suffered for our salvation, who descended into hell, who rose again the third day from the dead; P: Who ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father almighty, from there He shall come to judge both the living and the dead. All: At His coming all men shall rise again in their bodies, and shall give an account of their works. P: And those who have done good shall enter into everlasting life, but those who have done evil into everlasting fire. All: All this is Catholic faith, and unless one believes it truly and firmly one cannot be saved.
