Exactly. Just recently I rewatched that scene. By the way, so was the shooting of Johnny Torrio. Also how they whacked Joe Masseria. The attempt on Salvatore Maranzano is also portrayed. And if you remember The end of Episode 1, Season 1, Big Jim Colosimo also got shot in the head. Al Capone was believed to have been directly involved in this murder.

And it was horrible. Nothing like how it happened. So sad they did such a poor job with it because that really was the fuse being lit for the beer wars.

@@fernandofuriaesq.6266 It wasn't Accardo. I forget the name this second, but I don't even think he was Italian. I did read though that Ricca took a bullet in the arm, which wasn't publicly reported. I actually just bought a real newspaper from the night that happened. It was the very first report. BULLETS RIDDLE CICERO HOTEL, they even call Capone, Al Brown alias Caponi.

This is so cool, Al Capone was like, a (kinder, gentler) version of Pablo Escobar. I found the street footage, very interesting the old cars and advertising. I noticed at 3:57 a Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer sign, and then at 4:01 a Budweiser Beer Sign. So I am thinking that footage might be post prohibition, or the signs were still up from pre prohibition. I suppose if you new the body style of the cars you may be able to figure it out.
@b.g.30734 жыл бұрын
He was nothing like Escobar. Escobar was responsible for 4,000-5,000 deaths, many of them innocent (not in the game). Even so, there's nothing "cool" about either one of them.

Capone was a legend because he defeated the mafia and the Irish. In an alternate universe, The Gennas or Joe Aiello/Frankie Uale would've been La Cosa Nostra in Chicago had they "won." The family Frankie Uale started in Brooklyn (before Capone had him killed in NY with the first tommy gun mob killing in NY history ((with the same gun that was used in St. Valentines massacre))) went on to be handed over to Joe Profaci becoming what is now... or was, The Colombo family.

Eliot Ness and his Special Agents, known to the world, as, "The Untouchables" did serious damage to Capone's breweries, and its transportation system. In six months time, they destroyed over 6 million dollars of breweries, and its operations. There was a time when the mob's beer trucks would drive down State, Wabash, Dearborn, etc., in the Loop, BUT, within six months time because of Ness' raids, the mob was reduced to transporting its beer in the back of car Sedans, during the night! Now that's results!

I’ve watched 2 different things recently that made a claim that astounded me cuz I never heard of it before even though it seems as if there’s nothing about these guys that I haven’t seen......Sam Giancana shot Torrio. One source is a documentary called “Momo” & I can’t recall the other one, but it was obviously something that focuses on Giancana also.
@majorkoenig52682 жыл бұрын
Why would he shoot torrio they were on the same side or didn't u get that far in school
@dennissettlemyre9172 жыл бұрын
@@majorkoenig5268 ….Reread what I typed slowly, moron. It was in other docs that I’ve seen. I’m not assuming anything because I’ve always thought that Moran & Weiss shot Torrio out of revenge for killing O’Bannion. The doc entitled “Momo”, makes the claim. Saying that Giancana, a low level enforcer/gunman at the time was a shooter in order to get Torrio out of the way for Capone. If it’s what happened, it worked, but I’m still inclined to believe the usual story of the North Siders doing it out of revenge, personally. So, screw off with the smart mouth quips to people when you aren’t even capable of correctly comprehending what you read, apparently.
@whiskeyroast83022 жыл бұрын
If it came from Giancana's half-brother, it's a lie. He had Sam involved with every modern event since 1915. That book he wrote read like Forrest Gump. He would've still been prowling the patch in 1925.
