Al DiMeola is not only one of the greatest, he is one of the greatest because of the feeling he infuses into his playing. The people that focus on his speed fail to recognize that speed is only a small part of his expressive playing. I really am sick of the criticisms like that. If you don't like his technical proficiency, don't listen to his music or see his performances. Otherwise, let the rest of us with actual SENSE enjoy his music. Peace.

Al ist nicht nur ein Erstklasse-Gitarrist, er ist zufällig auch noch musikalisch. Seine Technik ist erste Sahne. Aber sie steht nicht isoliert im Vordergrund. Da ist noch Groove, da ist Seele, ist ein ein Gefühl für Rhythmus. Der holt aus der Musik alles raus, was drin stecken kann.
