Al gore wanted to distance himself from Bill clinton to such an extent that he did not want Bill clinton to help him in his campaign, this caused many Bill clinton Supporters to deny support to Al gore and was one of the reasons why George bush won in the States from the south. The debates also condemned Al gore. Finally, Al gore was someone boring and easy to hate as a person, while George bush was someone who, no matter how bad the President was, was someone nice and with whom you would have a beer.

Yeah, it should have been a 1988 Bush Sr. landslide for him in terms of how well the economy was doing at the time, but I guess not. Then again tho, Bush Sr. didn't shun Reagan the way Gore shunned Clinton. If Gore let Clinton campaign for him in the south, he would've easily won his home state of Tennessee and Arkansas, which would've been more than enough to win him the election even without Florida. Even if he still lost those two states, if Bob Graham was his VP instead of Lieberman, he would've secured Florida easily.

@@f.t.5859 In reading your comment, I think I finally get what conservatives are trying to say after all this time. So, electing Trump was like putting a random bread maker in the seat of an F-16 and saying “go”. The thing is, if you’re going to run as an outsider with no prior public service/lawmaker experience abruptly for the role of commander in chief, that person will need to do double time to fully understand their sworn duties/obligations and then fulfill their duties/obligations. I would like to say that happened here, but various testimonies from within that administration has shown otherwise - he (allegedly) watched lot of TV, he (allegedly) was striking deals with his corporate friends, he had millions questioning his sanity/tweets, he created a cult like following but did very little in the way of say… Reagan. I promise you that if Trump showed he cared for the people as much as his corporate friends, didn’t have daily public social media tantrums, didn’t try to sweep the pandemic under the rug, stopped creating divisiveness between parties/cultures on every subject, and just had a little more tact/integrity in his communications with the public… he would have been re-elected to the tune of Reagan’s landslide in 1984. That didn’t happen though. For what it’s worth, as a campaign manager myself, I have talked to both conservatives and democrats - the general consensus is that many were tired and afraid of “what’s next”.

Schneides117.....How do you challenge climate change? that's like saying we should challenge the coming of night or the earth rotating around the sun. We have no way of knowing whether the climate would have been exactly the same as it is now without human interference, there is no way to know. What happens now is that whenever there is a period of increased warming (which there hasn't been in around 18 years) the alarmist scientists say "see it's warming, I told you humans were causing global warming" . Increased temperatures in no way proves humans are to blame. Human science is no way near advanced enough to predict the weather in a month let alone 10 years from now, and the computer models have been woefully wrong in their predictions.....Woefully wrong...In 30 years people who believed in human induced global warming will be a laughing stock....Oops did I say global warming, It's supposed to be climate change. They changed the name because the warming stopped and thousands of scientists needed to keep getting millions in funding......What a crock.
