Sounds like a good handling to me unlike Bush he ended up trying and failing to turn Afghanistan into a function democracy and we stayed there 20 years (10 after we killed Bin Laden) only for Joe Biden to show up and fuck the retreating process... But whatever l can't change the past... Gorge Bush was still better than Kerry l will give you that definitely

I've tried really hard to only listen to the questionable news source and Facebook memes that confirm my feelings, so I can't reconcile my world-view with the fact that everything that every expert said would happen has, in fact, happened. If I think hard about it, it might mean that I am wrong about my political view, and I'm far to intellectually fragile for that kind of threat to my ontological security. Therefore, I can only deal with this through denial. That is why, without any evidence, proof or line of logic to confirm it, that the electoral system (that I don't really understand) was engaged in a massive conspiracy to make me feel stupid."

The damn terrorists got so pissed off of Bush's remarks, he was provoking them. Sadly, the reality came true. I still never understand why the heck did we fight Iraq war. 911 was a good excuse but Iraq? Al Gore was so better than Bush. Al gore wanted to distance himself from Bill clinton to such an extent that he did not want Bill clinton to help him in his campaign, this caused many Bill clinton Supporters to deny support to Al gore and was one of the reasons why George bush won in the States from the south. The debates also condemned Al gore. Finally, Al gore was someone boring and easy to hate as a person, while George bush was someone who, no matter how bad the President was, was someone nice and with whom you would have a beer.

Yeah, it should have been a 1988 Bush Sr. landslide for him in terms of how well the economy was doing at the time, but I guess not. Then again tho, Bush Sr. didn't shun Reagan the way Gore shunned Clinton. If Gore let Clinton campaign for him in the south, he would've easily won his home state of Tennessee and Arkansas, which would've been more than enough to win him the election even without Florida. Even if he still lost those two states, if Bob Graham was his VP instead of Lieberman, he would've secured Florida easily.

@@f.t.5859 In reading your comment, I think I finally get what conservatives are trying to say after all this time. So, electing Trump was like putting a random bread maker in the seat of an F-16 and saying “go”. The thing is, if you’re going to run as an outsider with no prior public service/lawmaker experience abruptly for the role of commander in chief, that person will need to do double time to fully understand their sworn duties/obligations and then fulfill their duties/obligations. I would like to say that happened here, but various testimonies from within that administration has shown otherwise - he (allegedly) watched lot of TV, he (allegedly) was striking deals with his corporate friends, he had millions questioning his sanity/tweets, he created a cult like following but did very little in the way of say… Reagan. I promise you that if Trump showed he cared for the people as much as his corporate friends, didn’t have daily public social media tantrums, didn’t try to sweep the pandemic under the rug, stopped creating divisiveness between parties/cultures on every subject, and just had a little more tact/integrity in his communications with the public… he would have been re-elected to the tune of Reagan’s landslide in 1984. That didn’t happen though. For what it’s worth, as a campaign manager myself, I have talked to both conservatives and democrats - the general consensus is that many were tired and afraid of “what’s next”.

That despite even if it was still competitive at the time, and didn't become at least safe Republican until four years later in 2004. That along with other close states he had a legit shot to win in either Nevada, Missouri, Ohio, or his then boss Bill Clinton's home state of Arkansas (with 2000 being the last time it was truly in play) for that matter too.

@Andrew Lucas he had more than enough to prevent 9/11. He should have listened to Richard Clarke in the intelligence briefings. He should have took action to stop them. The famous August 6, 2001 intelligence warning that Bin Laden was determined to strike in the U.S. He had been warned since May of that year that there could be an act of terror committed. He took no action until it was too late.

Micro Aggression In Gore vs Bush, the margin between the two candidates was microscopic. Roughly one vote out of every 10,000. This infinitesimal gap triggered an automatic recount. In other words, there was no “result on election day.” Florida law-NOT Al Gore-sent the game into overtime. And those same Florida election laws allowed for candidates in such a close contest to challenge the tally, which Gore understandably did.

Schneides117.....How do you challenge climate change? that's like saying we should challenge the coming of night or the earth rotating around the sun. We have no way of knowing whether the climate would have been exactly the same as it is now without human interference, there is no way to know. What happens now is that whenever there is a period of increased warming (which there hasn't been in around 18 years) the alarmist scientists say "see it's warming, I told you humans were causing global warming" . Increased temperatures in no way proves humans are to blame. Human science is no way near advanced enough to predict the weather in a month let alone 10 years from now, and the computer models have been woefully wrong in their predictions.....Woefully wrong...In 30 years people who believed in human induced global warming will be a laughing stock....Oops did I say global warming, It's supposed to be climate change. They changed the name because the warming stopped and thousands of scientists needed to keep getting millions in funding......What a crock.
