But instead of going all out and doing whatever was within his capacity to fight the election results, he realised the profound consequences his actions could have on the country and he had the wisdom to know that it could potentially cause a lot of division with the country and it would not be worth the risk to continue to fight. Moreover al gore was fighting over the criteria on how ballots should be considered defective and not included in the vote count, trump was fighting over election fraud is probably the president who has tried to sow the most doubt over the presidential election’s integrity to the greatest extent in the history of America.

They wouldn't have given him the presidency. If Florida's votes had been removed, neither Bush nor Gore would have had enough votes to win the election and it would have been tossed to the house. In that instance, each state delegation is given 1 vote and a winner must receive the votes of 26 states to be elected. Republicans controlled more state delegations at the time, IIRC, so Bush would have been elected by the House. Interestingly, the Senate was 50-50, and each senator gets 1 vote for vice president, and because the VP breaks all ties in the senate, Gore could have voted for Lieberman and given us a Bush-Lieberman administration (though Gore would almost certainly have voted for Cheney given Bush was going to win the House, putting him in yet another awkward spot.)

I remember how Republicans and Fox News made Al Gore out to be a sore loser. This footage and his concession speech say otherwise. With that said, the United States of America, and the world, would be a better place today if Al Gore had succeeded Bill Clinton as President in 2001.

I don't know much about US politics but what Al Gore did deserves all our applause and praise. Respecting the Constitution and gracefully admitting defeat. Sad he didn't win the election but if the roles were reversed and Bush was the VP of that time he would also do the same.

Gore got robbed, but he didn't keep fighting for a victory because he chose country over self. Whether you agree or disagree with his decision, or the bad outcome of the Bush years, you have to respect him.

MAGA voters would come to DC and literally hold Kamala at Gunpoint. just to make sure she will certify a Trump win. I Bet, those guys are weird like that.
