Al Green is my favorite singer since his first album. I’ve seen him in concert a couple of times. The last time, we made a huge financial effort to get second row seats. It was a big sacrifice, but that’s how much of a fan I was. I even brought two dozen roses, which shared with the female audience, as he usually does. I was deeply saddened when he catered only to the people in the back saying they made a huge effort to buy tickets, however we, in the front rows, were rich and didn’t make any effort to be there. He looked down on us. He even wiped copious amounts of sweat from his face with his hand and flicked it at us several times during the concert. I was disappointed by the disrespect and assumptions. I still enjoy his songs but will never attend any more of his concerts.
