@HerminigildeB5 жыл бұрын
@@divingchicago Your comment makes me sad Not only are kids these days very talented, they're often putting out songs with social justice themes or messages, similar to the messages from the 60s and 70s. If the themes are similar it's because we didn't do our damn job and solve the problems. Some are adjusting vocals in the studio. Some aren't. We sound ignorant, old and out of touch when we make comments like yours. ... I have many friends in their 70s and 80s who have been making music since they were teens. They are all thrilled when they have the opportunity to play with young people. Not because they want to teach. Because they want to learn. Listen to some young people. Learn something.
@crapitoutjim5 жыл бұрын
HerminigildeB oh do shut the fuck up, your comment is such bullshit, in so many ways. The kids of today have zero talent and those that have so much as a smidgin of tone/voice need to be original with it instead of always putting out cover versions.

how 19 people can dislike this is absolutely beyond. I played this at my mates wedding and got all the couples (and future couple) to slow dance. Good times. One of my all time favourite songs and I mainly listen to hip hop.

Wow! I just realized he is the last of the great soul singers. You know, that period of the late 60's through the 70's. Marv, Barry, Bobby, etc., are all over Jordan river. His voice is the reason many of us even exist today. He is the great aphrodisiac.

We still have a few though: Eddie Levert, Walter Williams, Smokey, Jerry Butler, in addition to Reverend Al. But you're right, and too many left too soon.

Al Green's voice was given to him by God and that's whose sings he should be singing. I was invited to sing on a program with him. His GOSPEL music brought the house down. If you're going to preach God's word and sing his songs as he did then he will be blessed
