Just rip the audio from this file. Pretty easy to do with 4K Video Downloader or something similar. Then you can put it in your iTunes Folder on your computer and push it to your phone. aac format for Apple devices. Some of the people I like who sound way better live (Milk Carton Kids, Mandolin Orange, etc.) than they sound in the studio (most producers don't have the talent to capture an excellent artist in the studio), I have to grab their audio like this.

I respect and love both artists tremendously. For those who criticize this rendition let me be clear....the mark of a true artist is not to create an exact duplication, but to elevate the work in a manner that is true to the artist performing the work. That's what Porter does. If you search for Stevie Wonder's version of Fragile, Stevie makes it his own. The true beauty is that Sting created a masterpiece capable of duplication for inspiration. THAT is the gift....it keeps on giving.

@@jaydebeer7251 amen, my brother! Don’t lose faith. What ever that is or wherever you find it. Sometimes we have given up before we even realize. But we can always be reminded there’s hope, especially when listening to Gregory Porter! Our children want more for us then we want for ourselves. In the end happy or sad rich or poor. A child’s innocent and unselfish love is our guiding light. All we have to do is flip the switch.

I lived in hostels and have been without friends or family during my life. This song sings straight to my heart and soul. Even now that I have found a good job and a life, this version and song reminds me of the despair i felt. Deep down you never forget. "Its probably me"

When I first heard the song at the movie premiere, I knew that Sting's lyrics--combined with Clapton's guitar work and Sandborn's jazz saxaphone scales--would make this song unforgettable. And just when you thought that it couldn't possibly be improved...along comes Gregory Porter's honey-drenched vocals, (years later) providing a vocal polishing job that NO ONE ever imagined the song needed. Bravo, sir. Bravo.

'My only friend, who could it be?' It's hard to say it I hate to say it But it's probably me When your belly's empty And the hunger's so real And you're too proud to beg And too dumb to steal You search the city For your only friend No-one would you see You ask yourself, 'Who could it be? 'A solitary voice speakin out and set me free' I hate to say it I hate to say it But it's probably me You're not the easiest person ever got to know And it's hard for us both to let our feelings show Some would say I should let you go your way You'll only make me cry But if there's one guy, just one guy Who'd lay down his life for you and die It's hard to say it I hate to say it But it's probably me When the world's gone crazy, and it makes no sense And there's only one voice that comes to your defence And the jury's out And your eyes search the room One friendly face is all you need to see And if there's one guy, just one guy Who'd lay down his life for you and die It's hard to say it I hate to say it But it's probably me I hate to say it I hate to say But it's probably me I hate to say it I hate to say But it's probably me I hate to say it I hate to say But it's probably me

Absolutely dreadful, butchered beyond belief, don’t know who he is but the singer can barely sing in tune and cannot hold a note, just terrible, almost unlistenable. Anyone who likes this must be tone deaf!

As a 40-year Sting fan, I can say that I've never heard anyone sing one of his songs and thought that it was better than Sting's version. Mr. Porter just broke that 40-year streak.

BassByTheBay : I agree wholeheartedly with you..but Stings original song Missing you was song by P.Diddy and Faith and backed up by a CHOIR..in intrembance to Biggie Small and Tupac was a far more superior than Stings original..Listen to it and let me know your comments either way both do justice to the song.,different times/dates and different meanings..

You need your ears checking then, because this was mediocre at best. Cold and soulless. Technically fine, but dull. Go back and listen to Sting’s - he performs it with warmth and soul.

@@asadacoehlo7964 It never ceases to amaze how people find ways to be rude for nothing more than a different preference. Like I said, I've been a Sting fan for decades -- I know his music very well and don't need to relisten to any of it. And I'm not the only one who likes this version better. But I'm not gonna tell you to get your ears checked.

@@BassByTheBay "I'm not the only one who likes this version better" isn't an endorsement. If it were, every music fad in history would be considered legendary. Evidently you do need to relisten, because you'd know otherwise that this is a far cry from the original. Technically fine, but expressionless. Colourless. Soulless. Don't get lost in the hype.
