Surah Al-Haqqah (69) recited by Sheikh Yasser Dossary

Starting from 6:21, it reminds me of a story of Umar ibn al-Khattab. One day, Umar ibn al-Khattab left his house and went to the Haram. Our Prophet Muhammad (saw) was there before him, and he was standing and praying while reciting Surah al-Haqqah. The words of Allah entered the deepest parts of Umar (ra)'s heart. So, Umar (ra) was wondered and basically "mesmerized" although I don't think mesmerized is the greatest word to put in this case, but I hope you get it. So, at the time, the thought of this must be a statement or work of a poet like all the other people of the Quraysh said and thought. Right as he was thinking this, at 6:28, he (saw) recited, "And it is not the word of a poet; little do you believe!" So then, Umar (ra) thought, "Well then he must be a soothsayer of sorcerer." But what is the next verse? "Nor the word of a soothsayer; little do you reflect!" So then he thought to himself, "What must this be then?" The very next verse that our Prophet (saw) recites, " It is a revelation from the Lord of all creation." So then he thinks to himself, "Well what if he is inventing it?" The next verse says, "And if Muhammad had made up about Us some false sayings, We would have certainly seized him by his right hand, then severed his aorta. And none of you could have shielded him from Us!" So you can say that this was a "conversation" between Umar (ra) and Allah (swt) through he Prophet Muhammad (saw) and he doesn't know anything about it. Thank you for bearing this long comment. And you become a Muslim - our brother - a member of huge community - 'ummah. And if you need next help, i will pray for you and do what i can possible.
