To me it smells very similar to Detour Noir but this is slightly fresher. I was convinced that they just put detour noirs Juice in this bottle. I'm glad I wasn't the only one.

I can barely detect much differences between Rouge and Noir sprayed on at the same time. I will just think of Rouge as my backup bottle when Noir runs out.

I have the real Carlisle and Layton they are also similar IMO. Had Layton first. When I got Carlisle and sprayed it, I was thinking the same as you. I do prefer Carlisle of the two.

I agree that it seems like they have mistakenly packaged a batch of Detour Noir as Detour Rouge. Even the tester in the Al Haramain's Dubai Mirdif City centre mall store smelled exactly like Detour Noir, which had me curious. However, I've got back home and sprayed both Detour Noir on one hand and Detour Rouge on another hand. I am lucky enough to get the real Detour ROUGE; and I can confirm it smells nothing like Detour Noir or PDM Layton. Detour Rouge smells a lot like Versace Eros Flame and Channel Allure Homme Sport. It's got a fresh opening with Bergamot and a lot of Pepperiness; However the pepper note is not as bright as in Eros Flame, neither is Detour Rouge as citrusy as Eros Flame; but the pepperiness in the Rouge is similar to the one in Lattafa Asad, and to a smaller extent like Dior Sauvage Elixir. I do like it, as it does not smell anything like Detour Noir (lucky me), as I already have 4 bottles of Detour Noir in my backup, and did not want another one that smelled like the Noir version.

Berouj Perlador scratches my carlisle itch. I have Detour Noir too. They are kinda overlapping but distinct enough to not be totally redundant. This sounds like too much but it has such a good profile if you want these bases covered.

many said it smells like chanel allure home sport. after listening to your review however i've decided to purchase a bottle. i love all these scents carlisle and red tobacco and even certain nuances of eros flame, and when they are melded into one it sounds great! i own detour nior and i love it! even if it smells like chanel allure home sport. i dont have chanel allure home sport so this will be a great addition to my collection. thanks

No not at all…allure is more nice rounded off creamy citrus and very nice sweet, ambery dry down …this is a sharp citrus that reminds me of cheap aftershave in them old school barbershops..like a bergamot,cardamom, cedar wood blast..n it’s overwhelming to my nose that I barely pick up the midnotes or the base..I dunno there’s something wrong with the balance of this frag ..that’s my nose tho..I don’t pick up the tobacco at all in this

Yeah, I see people freaking out on Fragrantica over that. I didn't save my Detour Rouge box, but I bought them both in...2021? And they definitely are NOT similar. Noir definitely smells like Layton, and Rouge smells close to Eros flame to me.
