For instance, no reports on the intentional cruelty Hamas inflicted on the kibbutz on 10-07, their killings and kidnappings of not just Israelis but also Thai nationals along with citizens from 39 countries. No reports on the hostages or their stories. No mention of billionaire Hamas leaders, who are richer than Oprah or Trump, living the luxe life in Qatar, etc.. Even mild comments mentioning these were deleted by Al Jazeera, who actively engaged in censorship of all dissenting voices. They don't deserve our attention or time.

Also you are aware that the Palestinian territories have not yet been annexed by Israel, and are not part of Israel, right? Despite taking most of Palestine, Gaza remains fundamentally separate to Israel. But it seems to me your contention is that a nation has the right to ensure that only coverage by its own national press operates within its borders. That is to say, control of the media by the state.

There really are no independent journalists aside from Palestinian journalists in Gaza, this is something the international press has been campaigning to change for months. Israel only allows journalists into Gaza under escort by the IDF. And the rate of death among Palestinian journalists has been extreme.

What about one-sided commentary on Ram Temple in Ayodhya, India. Media outlets like Al Jazeera nobody watches or cares in India. Why did the commentary not mention that the temple was built after a prolonged litigation in Supreme Court of India. Secondly, no mention that Govt provided land for construction of a mosque. We have a free press here. That means we allow competition between ideologies in the public square. It’s like Coca Cola and Pepsi, except with ideas. The US government doesn’t pick an “official cola brand.” Because we have a free market. Nor does it take sides in the free marketplace of ideas, other than harmful speech. Even then, the government must prove that _some specific person or group_ is _demonstrably harmed._ For instance, the Constitutional standard for treason focuses on whether elected officers were hampered in the performance of their oath-bound duties, whether someone broke their own Constitutional oath, or whether our foreign agents are harmed, ie military, diplomatic, or intelligence. The press is held to similar standards. Short of that, if you don’t like Pepsi, don’t buy it. Don’t cry that it’s out there competing with your beloved Coca Cola.
