I have question though, why motifs always go to higher notes? rarely we knew a song that's start from high notes and going lower and lower notes?

Great lesson Al, just subscribed to you! I have a question : How would you approach making solos, balancing both technicality and emotion?

Al Joseph hey man. thanka for the reply. progressive metal and djent. i am trying to write in that style. but i am desperate to not sound like yet another djent guy. i love that sound but i also know it cant be the centre of a whole song.
