Keep on forgetting which actually HAS been on the air longer between Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, Wheel first came on on January 6th of 1975, and Jeopardy first appeared in the year of 1964 and ran until January 3 of 1975 a few days before the debut of Wheel of Fortune, and then JEopardy had a weekly Nighttime show that ran for a Year, and then there was a revival of the All-New Jeopardy that ran from October of 1978 to March of 1979,

Dont know if this hasd ever been done in the history of both Jeopardy and Wheel of fortune, but would have just loved to see Alex and Pat actually trade places as hosts of their respective shows, that would have been interesting to see......

That actually did happen April Fools Day of 1997. In the case of Wheel, Pat and Vanna were the sole contestants on the show. While Alex hosted, Pat's wife Lesley was on the puzzleboard that night.

It’s a shame that NBC never recognized that Wheel of Fortune started on NBC in 1975 hosted by Chuck Woolery and Susan Stafford.
