So he'll be treated well. Gunshots are a regular occurrence in all major cities and you mentioned a black mass shooter in 2010...shooting and killing any innocent person is horrific. I don’t know when this is going to stop hurting. I am a white member of the buffalo community. I’m a transplant but the short time I live here it always felt as the city of good neighbors. I am so tired of senseless murders, especially because of somebody’s skin color. When I walked in my local tops the other day, the pain and anger and disgust of this tragedy really sets in. Because when you walk into tops you say “wow, people were murdered in tops for doing what I am doing, which is grocery shopping” I don’t know how this country will ever heal from racism, the cards are stacked to the black community. Black male Georgia voter here and I am SICK of the Democrats, specifically!! The president, as expected, gave a cute speech earlier this week and really, he could have kept his old senile decrepit behind in DC and delivered it by zoom. I’ve reached out to my local congressman and senator here in Georgia, as well as the good ‘ole CBC, Clyburn, and a few others on social media to see if they will push for an anti-hate crimes LAW SPECIFICALLY for the BLACK American born legal citizen (NOT people of color, monitories, black and brown, but BLACK people), much like the anti-hate Asian bill, which passed with no problems. No, getting such a bill will not stop tragedies such as this, however, with such a bill, when crimes of this magnitude are committed, hopefully, any perpetrator will be punished to the fullest extent of the law, to include death! If Blacks go out in droves and vote for Dems during early voting and in November, something is seriously wrong with us and I don’t want to hear SH** about Donald Trump, January 6th, gun control, or any other broader terms which in turns deflects from the issue at hand. It’s very apparent that the Democratic Party does not care, and they will sacrifice any chances of winning seats or retaining some just to spite the Black voter, so I say, let them crash and burn! THE DEMOCRATS have ALL THREE BRANCHES OF GOVERNMENT, so there’s no excuse, and Blacks are no more safer under Biden then we were under Trump. We have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to lose by NOT voting for Biden and the Dems; absolutely nothing, since they are ignoring us anyway! Voting for the Republicans, in my opinion, actually WILL benefit Blacks as they go hard on the topic of illegal immigration which directly benefits our community. How so? When you go into your local Walmart, grocery store, Wendys, etc., who do you see working in most of these jobs?? If illegals are granted citizenship, a lot of our people will be adversely affected within said industries, so I am voting in the best interest of my people! NOT Black and Brown, NOT minorities, persons of color, but BLACK PEOPLE!! Don’t keep telling me I need to vote, or else, or else what??! Blacks haven’t received one substantive law/executive order from the Biden/Harris administration (or most of the pass Democratic administrations for that matter). They’ve given us KB Jackson, Juneteenth, a Hip Hop Holiday, the Crown Act, the E. Till anti-lynching bill, and Karine Jean-Pierre (new WH press secretary), NONE of which will do anything substantive/tangible to change the power structure/move the needle forward for Black America. Just more Black faces in high places and nothing more! We’ve had countless Black congressman/women, senators, and Clarence Thomas on the SC for close to 30 years and how has ANY of this worked out for the advancement/betterment of the Black collective?!! It hasn’t and it never will, not with our current crop of Black so-called leaders in office...DO NOT vote blue no matter who!
