Al Shirawi Equipment's journey towards achieving "Carbon neutral manufacturing of reliable solutions" through controlled measures on reducing carbon footprint, recycled water treatment & waste management solutions began with a deep understanding of our environmental impact. We conducted a comprehensive environmental audit to identify our key areas of impact and then developed a plan to reduce our environmental footprint.
One of the key areas we focused on was reducing our carbon footprint. We did this by investing in energy-efficient equipment, using renewable energy sources, and improving our energy efficiency. We also implemented a carbon offset program to compensate for our remaining emissions.
Another key area we focused on was water conservation. We installed water-saving devices in our facilities, and we recycled and reused water whenever possible. We also implemented a rainwater harvesting program to collect rainwater for irrigation and other purposes.
Finally, we focused on waste management. We implemented a zero-waste policy, and we recycled and composted as much waste as possible. We also worked with our suppliers to reduce the amount of packaging material used in our products.
As a result of our efforts, we have significantly reduced our environmental impact. We are harvesting 5 GW / year , fulfilling 100% of our energy requirements and surplus for both facilities thereby eliminating 2000 tonnes of C02 emissions/ year. We have reduced our water consumption by 30%, and our waste generation by 50%. We are proud of our progress, and we are committed to continuing our efforts to achieve our goal of carbon neutrality.
