It’s a shame that the ignorance of an individual within the public has had to constitute a thorough reprimand from the driver (who was equally clueless about the dilemma) and thus leading to the recording being stopped altogether. Fortunately from the countless bus recordings I done, the public usually dont perceive filming as an intrusion. But when the bus does become busy, I usually tend to angle my device at the window next to me and pan it back at the interior when its quieter. This amount of verbal certainly was aggravating especially when they instructed you to get off the bus which you have paid for in order to receive your service!

you know what, I didn’t either, when I first started doing this I was so worried about everyone watching me, but overtime I gained more confidence and now the thought of people watching me doesn’t even cross my mind, take it from someone who genuinely had zero confidence to get out there and record

Crazy. The first time i took a pic of a bus, the whole high street was looking at me but a few years back, on the same road but with more people, some lady came from behind and started attacking me because of my skin and intentionaly trying to throw me in front of a bus going at a high speed and people barely gave a glance. People like this just ruin society for bus enthusiasts

had a similar experience here just with an U18. i was just minding my business with a friend taking some pictures of buses, at which point a random girl came up to me and said, "What are you doing?" i told her im a bus enthusiast, and she just remarked sarcastically, then said, "Do you have the passengers consent, if you dont then ur gonna have to blur then out!" At this point behaviour like this wasnt new to me, but what was, was her brother THREATENING to ATTACK ME then got her mother to yell at me, i politely told her that i wasnt trying to bully her daughter and she misunderstood me, at which point the mother started swearing at me and my friend. Honestly, if u have nothing nice to say, dont say anything.
