No, it really isn't. The original game displays at like 200 lines. 240p would show this game perfectly!!!

@@KretinoSantino This is not a VGA game!!! Amiga is incompatible with VGA. 240p would capture this game fine. The whole stream is completely digital and so there is no problems like you would get by pointing a camera at a TV.

For those who watch it now for the first time, in a real Amiga when you go under a tunnel the hardware audio filter turns on so is even more muffled than this [and in old 1.2 machines the red power LED turns on too]

Forent & Night - piece of cake, could finish with some 20 seconds to spare. Fog - noticeable increase in difficulty. Winter - quite easy once you learned to avoid skidding too much. Desert - end up out of the track and it takes forever to regain speed. Motorway - quite pleasant after all. Marshes - miss one extra time and you're in trouble. Storm - forgives no mistake. The only thing missing was the lack of in-game music, but on the other hand the sound of engine was quite useful for manual gear.

I recently dug out Lotus II myself and played it again. And to my shame I have to admit that I only made it to the second level. I also don't remember that I ever made it that far as a teenager. I don't know how you managed to play through it in one session. However, I'll give you a "RESPECT!" for that.

If you want to continue the Lotus Legacy in modern games, like me, I have re-made the Lotus Esprit on Hot Wheels Unleashed for PS4 and PS5 Players via Livery for the Audi Sport Quattro; it is the closest I could find I have also included ALL colour variants exclusive on certain Courses so you can pick from more than just Red and White

I didn't remember the way to Liverpool is that long. The game looks easy, but most people don't realize that these cars can go up to 182mph. From this perspective, the intersections at Liverpool looks pretty badly designed, and this game proves that sometimes it's safer to drive on the other lane.

If you need the car in every level to go faster then 135 mph if permanent turbo is provided use the password called slugpace which will give the car in every level a boost.

I remember feeling that this game was strangely easy when compared to other comparable racing games of that era, like Outrun for example. I first played it when my father took me to visit a friend and that friend would let me play on his Amiga 500 while the two of them were watching sports together. I just drove and drove and drove for hours without the game stopping me or getting too hard.

I've tried playing via emulation in recent years and I struggle to get very far! I've obviously lost my skills over the intervening years :) Mind you using the keyboard isn't really as good as using an old fashioned joystick, so that probably impairs my performance a bit too.

Whoa... nice driving. It seems that a slightly slower approach, and plenty of breaking is needed on pea soup. Also, I can never get the games in WinUAE fullscreen like you have it here. They are all in a small box in the centre of the screen for me. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

The driving model ("physics) is completely diffeent from Lotus I, so you only have to be on the far left for a left turn with max speed.
