So proud to be an Alumni! Been a fan of HBCU schools and band since 10! You guys should attend the Magic City Classic. It’s tradition down South, where two of the best HBCU compete through football, halftime shows and the 5th quarter btwn bands and dance girls! It great and the tailgating is a vibe in itself! Thank you for the invite and exposure! Glad New Yorkers enjoyed a taste of the south… C/O 2009

The Divas looked beautiful and very classy and reminded me of the Rockettes. The Band sounded crisp and strong. HBCU's have had worldwide exposure because of KZbin and rightfully so.

So clever to update the Nutcracker, then bring it home with Soul Train! The leaps and marches uplifted me. Can I watch without crying? No!

Nice job. Looking and sounding great. Seeing a HBCU band leading off for the first time is inspiring. The announcer was incorrect though in saying this is the oldest HBCU marching band in the country. That honor belongs to Tuskegee.

Both were founded in 1890
@kevinsivells8996 Жыл бұрын
@205xfactor doesn't matter if it was the same year. Historically, it shows Tuskegee marching band was established first. So they can't say they were THE first but can say they were ONE OF the first. There is a difference.
@205xfactor Жыл бұрын
@@kevinsivells8996historically publications says the same for AAMU, so now what? Quite naturally you favor the publications that support TU. We are going need more accuracies in these claims especially when various sources state TU band being founded in 1894 and 1895 and still supposedly being “first” as well 🤷🏾♂️
